hi all.
I’ve released my first et map today. it’s based on the kothet2.
problably there will be some bugs or gameplay probs so everyone that find a bug or had some suggestions please tell me :drink:

all comments will be welcome and fixed (the most I can).

So far I like it, have only played it on 3 though (upgrading ET to 1.02 lost 97% of the players…), I feel the spawns could maybe be located further from the flag to encourage playing more around the whole map instead of just the middle. Dunno if it will work or not though

With this map in the etmain folder, WolfET won’t even start for me. I get a windows error (app crashes). :banghead:

lol this can be really bad…
i tested it in various computers including old pc’s and it worked properly.
otherwise i didn’t know about this kind of errors :???:
it may be some conflict between something in the map file and one of the programs u have in your pc…

does someone knows why it can be?

I like the design and the textures. Should be really fun to play.

  • But why no landmines ?
  • Health and Ammo Cabinets are not displayed on the map.
  • For your mirrors, please prefer a site like http://www.pcgamemods.com/4/ : sometimes it’s really hard to download from rtcwfiles and there are too many popup.

Another thing : the message “Axis/Allies have x minutes” is not clear (and not english ?)

It’s a countdown and x does not represent the amount of time the team gets the flag. I think it’s ambiguous.

yes I tested it with the 1.02 patch. I have it installed with the map in the etmain folder and I have no problems.

x is the time resting to win the match but you’re right, it’s ambiguous so i’ll make it more clear in the 2nd version.

-health and ammo cabinets are now in the command map :wink:
-i did send a mail to pcgamemods so i’m waiting for them to put the map on their site.
-landmines are disabled for two reasons:

  1. the shader of the terrain doesn’t work
  2. i putted no effort to fix it because i thought that a ultra-mined flag will not be fun so now i’m working on both things but mines will probably continue disabled.

Arf, if there are no landmines, i think that engineers are useless.

I do not agree with you, landimes could be really fun. I’d like to plant mines near the flag. It’s not too powerfull. Airstrikes are more powerfull for this map.

You texture is a TGA or JPEG ? You must use TGA

ok. I’ve been thinking about what u say and I’m agree with u. :drink: First I concived the map for small teams so I thought that will be basically a field ops or medics battle. but mines can be really good in a game with big teams so the most difficult should be to plant’em :bump:

i’ve been making a new terrain to avoid that tiled effect the other has, and I updated the shader so mines are now enabled. :banana:

The fix is recommend for every server which have at least 24 slots/players. http://www.badongo.com/file/11346442

The file was made because “Holding the flag for less than 10 seconds does not count”.
Fixes:

  • the map time incrased from 10 to 15 min.
  • the teams must hold the flag for 4 minutes instead of 5 minutes
  • If the time is over and the teams dose not finish the objective the winner team is who hold the flag
  • which team have own the flag will spawn faster (5sec instead of 10sec)
  • In the original version the timer work from 4min. to 0min. Now in the fix2 the timer count from 0min to 4min. - maybe will wolr the counter under NQ1.2.0.

Plus

  • voice and extended text announces for the objective
  • the text announce for the axis team dosen’t work at 2 minutes, fixed too
