Stoker's molotov needs to be fixed ASAP

I had it mess up 4 times in one game and I believe it was 4 throws in a row. Particularly when trying to damage the EV or throw it on mercs repairing the EV.

So frustrating.

Yesterday I threw a molotov straight at a Sawbonez and immediately backed behind a corner. I heard him scream and waiter for the kill notification. Nothing happened so I went around the corner. Sawbonez was alive and there was no trace of my fire.

So it was a bug or Sawbonez is a fire eater.

It seems to mess up more when it directly hits an object (like the EV) or a merc. I’ll toss it on 3 people and grin with glee for my ensuing triple kill and repair defense and see the fire never appeared. Then I have to wait for the cool down.

You can be several feet above the fire and still take damage
And 9/10 times smoke won’t extinguish the fire
that’s what annoys me

The real problem is how inconsistent it is. Sometimes the fire pool is massive, other times it sorta just piddles out.

Fire transferred to void. Yes, and that sucks.

Got to live the full toss animation going off and then…nothing.

OOO! I got another grenade! Where’s my other one though…ooooh this is the SAME ONE THAT LEFT MY HAND NOT A SECOND AGO! How’d you get back here, silly?

Oh? Oh, what’s that boy? You’re BUGGED because they PATCHED YOU WHEN YOU WERE FINE BEFORE and they botched the operation?! Dear GOD that’s HORRIBLE! Now you do less damage per tick (except to the thrower apparently) AND you don’t work properly? Wow, you SUCK now!

And the flames still falls through ramps and slopes, as well as flooding AWAY from the target if you hit them with the grenade directly, so they can escape and take less damage at the same time. Don’t get me started on how other mercs like Fragger and Nader can still auto-toss their grenades as they die but we have a simulated (animation bound) cooking time to prevent “panic grenades” that still won’t kill most mercs regardless…

And just the same, fire doesn’t put out smoke 9/10 times. They focused so hard on amping up the Aimee release with all it’s pointless skins and they forgot to fix the issues they already had on their plate and were “aware of”.

inb4 they realize it’s hard to spot the Scanner for Aimee because it doesn’t have a glow around it like Vassili’s does.

I got that issue too. The flames seems to magically disappear on contact with the EV sometimes.

Meanwhile, I have to suggest to all Stokers around to throw the molotov on the ground in front of the EV rather than on the EV itself, in order to avoid unpleasent surprises.
