Could be. I rembember when the db asset pack updated after the stoker update there were pictures of multiple unknown cards. I believe obsidian stoker was one of them.

But one thing is bothering me. why are the augment slots empty like in the trade up screen ?

I want that soooooooo bad.

i believe there is obsidian for every merc currently used by sd/nexon stuff

There were pics of them in the files as well, but those have the SD logo on the top left like in this one.

Also, it has a completely different skin

That image you found on imgur was in regards to a bug. There were 2 other images accompanying it which was a Blishlok (on Fletcher) and Empire 9 (on Sparks) obsidian. This bug occurs by switching loadout cards and pasting the incorrect skin on the loadout - thus causing some players to spawn with obsidian skins like this, however it does NOT give you the actual merc skin, just the weapon skin. It also only last until you die, then you get your regular skin back.

The obsidian cards (such as the one for Stoker above) for all mercs have been in the game files for a very long time. They are merely templates for any cards they wish to introduce, so I wouldn’t take this as any form of confirmation.

They have stated a few times that they will be doing more obsidian promotions in the future, but as of right now there are no immediate plans.

but i think the next obsidian is really going to be stoker
i only hope it will be the one with timmik and drilled

I can’t use timik at all. I hope for Stark or atleast M4. But M4 - Kukri is crap.

Its obviously a glitch .
Recently someone told me that if you switch (die and respawn) 5 times between an Obsidian Loadout and a Random Card , you will get to see/play with the Obsidian version of the random card . You can easily try it out if you have that obsidian phoenix .

PS : personally i haven’t tried it myself . so i’m not 100% sure abt this .

Hey look its my pic
How i ended up having that deagle obsidian was that i was super laggy and i had the obsidian phoenix on my squad so i was playing as him then i changed for stoker and the result is that pic

As Faraleth pointed out, this is a template card hence the “?” augments, lack of weapons and default skin on the model. These exist for all card rarities for all mercs, doesn’t mean anything more. The only actual Obsidians for Stoker at the moment are the SD and Nexon exclusive ones.
