stoker molotov

(BananaSlug) #1

it feels soo weak you can hit someone in face and dont kill him, you can even run thru flames and survive

you will say i am bad anyway

A direct hit will absolutely melt a light class: the Molotov is meant as an aoe deterrent: not to be used as a direct hit item. - Making it impossible for an opponent to defuse/plant/deploy for the duration of the fire can be a game winner.

TLDR: you’re using it wrong. (Even wrong-er than the grammar here!)

(Spicy_Spaceman) #3

They reduced the direct hit demage, but its still merc melting.

(Ritobasu) #4

Use the molotov in combination with your primary, so they either have to choose between dodging forward into your bullets or back into the fire

It’s also still a death sentence to be pelted by one at 90-100HP or below, and you don’t preemptively long jump away

(TheVulpesFox) #5

Just throw it at those campers, they will be too busy standing by their health station to run away.

(RedBeard) #6

If the Molotov did peg a merc there should be a substantial difference in the spread patter of said fire.

(Splicer) #7

The molotov isn’t even bad, I don’t know why people are complaining about it. It works great as long as if you know where to throw it.

(SaulWolfden) #8

I don’t know why people were complaining about it pre nerf considering 90 hp or less mercs could still survive direct hits. It was survivable then, it’s still a usable ability now. Now if we were talking about Thunder’s ability on the other hand…
