Stoker is Fun Molotive is fun, but since we are adding new content/weapons

We need to give stoker an actual flame thrower. Either as direct flame damage or just ignite for Damage over time. It should be based on a flame stream with a cooldown for the backpack so he cant infinitely spray it. Kinda like Rhino’s minigun just with no fire delay.

I hope so. It would be fun to use. Only logical merc to have it should be stoker… since he has flame suit and gas mask.

I hope the afterburn damage doesn’t inflict aimpunch once in few ticks, because in TF2 that shit was fucking annoying

Next merc can throw out gas and light it with a bullet.

I am against the idea of a full on Minigun style Flamethrower as that can be either OP or extremely annoying and will indefinitely ruin Stoker’s identity and playstyle but instead i’d say that it should be a burst of 3 seconds of direct fire and each second does around 40 points of damage. Thus if you were caught in the fire for the entirety of it and you are playing a merc with or less than 120 HP you will die indefinitely but 3 seconds should be enough to either run or shoot him if you hit every bullet on the head, However, the fire is a sort of distorting considering you will probably no see Stoker behind the fire coming out of him so running is the more viable option giving Stoker a fair chance of killing the enemy or at the very least driving him off.

Stoker is fine since last buff. I enjoy playing him again and see more vets playing him again. He does not need a change.

I like the idea and always wished he had a flamethrower too. That said, there’s no way I’d be happy if the molotov got replaced. A flamethrower would make Stoker more of an assault merc and ruin most of his support utility. The molly can be used to hold choke points, take down equipment and heavies, clear out a room, and protect a bomb plant. Only way I could see this happening is if they added both on the same cooldown. So, essentially he’d carry a flamethrower on his back and have a molly but you can only use one per cd. Don’t think it’ll ever happen.
