Stoker: Does He Need a Buff?

(869wizard) #1

Right now i feel that Stoker is a bit under-powered because he’s basically just a lame Kira, so i propose we give him a buff in the form of another mix-tape. We could decrease the time of each mix-tape so it would be the same amount of time total (so you can’t cover the C4 for 20 secs.), but adding another mix-tape would add so much more area that stoker could, cover which he needs. But these are just my thoughts so make sure to tell me yours.

Nah, just a molotov fix since right now it’s so buggy.

Molotovs cooldown to maybe 30 - 35 seconds rather than 40.

Also maybe make the Molotov’s explode into a tiny mushroom cloud (Look! A DIRTY BOMB!) so instead of the hit area being a “flat dome or disc” surrounding the molotov impact area, it starts out as a much higher dome then flattens down to the puddle.

This means for example that in the small tunnels in Underground a Molotov thrown on the ground would, the momentary explosion would actually “wall-off” the tunnel at that area before it dribbles down into a puddle as it currently does.

Also make so you can charge the throw…to make it go farther, straighter, faster when you throw it. So you can throw it straight in front of you in tight corridors to hit someone near the other end… or throw it really long distance on maps like Chapel like an Olympic discus thrower.

its already easy to throw…

I think it should do damage for a second or two even after you leave the fire because it is realistic that someone standing in fire would catch fire and it would also make it harder to quickly dash through the Molotov.

(GatoCommodore) #7

it does.
and most of the time people dont make it when they run thru the fire

(SaulWolfden) #8

Yes, he needs a buff so his Molotov gibs people again.

I see your very opinionated posts, but we should try to stick to the facts.

I see you dont know about stoker molotov cant gib people because of bug.
Maybe play him a little longer and you will know the power to break camp full of rhinos and aura.

Stoker is very deadly and you dont know about it because youre new.
the Q is basically “I Win” button.

molotov bugs are fixed. done.

My personal preference is “4”… Run around a corner… and pass it around as my “I Win” drink before pulling out the M4 to finish the victim and his friends.

I’m not much of a killer, but the Mols definitely help me get K’s. hahaha.

I also like dousing it on our C4’s when it’s less than 10 seconds to exploding like I’m spraying champagne on our nearing victory!

Sometimes I even yell “Opa!” when throwing it down!

I do get that, but Kira can do everything he can.

Except Kira can’t use ability indoors and isnt as effective at close range as him.

Kira Has Speed and good melee which is a plus but its played differently than stoker.

Kira and stoker is 2 different side of 2 different card

(TacticalMecha) #17

The thing about stoker over kira is that he is much more versatile in terms of area denial. By versatile, I mainly mean many cqb indoor areas with a roof. Also, using the Molotov is much quicker and convenient than summoning a orbital strike.
