STOKER :CALL OF PRIPIYAT

i don’t know why and what you guys think but STOKER (merc) appears to be a reference to video game series S T A L K E R which takes place in pripiyat nuclear dieaster zone .( google it if you want to) his standard loadout (timik ) or AK rifle and gas mask suggests this: http://stalker.wikia.com/wiki/S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:_Call_of_Pripyat?file=CoP_Cover.jpg

maybe since both games have similar theme of being set in a nuclear fallout zones they decided to make a reference or i don’t know but i don’t think it’s conincidence through since the name and equipments they carry are very identical

This is pretty farfetched.

Yeah…no.

Nuclear fallout? Uh, the incident in London isn’t actually made quite clear but considering the name of the game; a dirty bomb is a cheap explosive that uses radioactive material to spread radiation over a large area. This is quite different than STALKER where the zones are filled with unknown radiation which cause mutations and creation of artifacts that have unknown effects.

Also you’re grasping at straws. Stoker has a unique gas mask while the one in STALKER is an Israeli style gas mask.

I think it’s just a coincidence but not a bad attempt at looking for an easter egg. I played STALKER SoC with the updated graphics mod and it’s one of the most atmospheric games I have ever played. I loved it. I really need to play the other two. Especially since i read that their map/mission system is much improved compared to SoC.

lots of games have gas masks. In fact id say stoker is more inspired by the pyro from tf2
