thx for clearing that up. still better than many F2P practices out there.
Complete the three daily objectives every day and it will still take you 16 days to unlock a new merc.
come on, get the math right! 3 missions at 600 each = 1.8k. 16 days => 28.8k; you telling me you only get 1.2k credits from non-mission awards after 16 days of playing? Whenever people bring numbers to complain they either talk missions alone, or credit awards alone. lul.
I’d expect average 10min length game to get me 150 credits, to complete all missions you’d have to play 4-6 games, thats another 750-1k a day. So you get on average 2.5k per day.
12 days for a new merc?
Sure, its on the low side; but nowhere near the ‘omgomg p2w endless grind whine’ I see around here. Personally, I’d like to see it around 1week per new merc.
I have heard rumors of other methods to acquire credits to come into the game. Plus, the missions will surely be balanced to make them easier to complete - 14k support xp anyone?
Once you have completed all the daily objectives there is no incentive to play the game. That is bad. I want to be able to play the game at any time and feel like I have accomplished something. The current system feels like a tedious iphone game. Log in daily, complete some simple objectives and then come back later.
Maybe its a generation thing, but I play games for fun, not to get some virtual medals and a digital pat on the back. Previous builds mercs were all available from the start, and no one whined about having ‘no incentive to play the game’. But as soon as you put these unlockables & missions into DB, everyone starts complaining about how pointless it became.
Defending poor F2P practices is daft. Even more so when the developers themselves have admitted to there being a problem.
Bad math is daft too
I agree that as is, the rewards are lackluster, but I expect it to be fixed in coming patches. Just cut the whine already : P
