still completely unplayable

Yup. Pretty sure whatever hardware they are using is getting nailed by something within the game that is causing server CPU’s to spike beyond what has been allocated for them (since they are most likely virtualized). I’ve asked about it a number of times but I have yet to receive a response.

Aside from a few login issues I’ve had no problems. Definitely very playable on my end.

There is a saying that goes “Secrecy is the soul of the business”.
I bet there are a few things (not all, obviously) we would like to know that not even the companies involved tell each other.

yeah i mean, like i said, my processor is old. im running an old e6750 with a 760, but i can play ut3 almost maxed with zero issue. just not sure what the issue is with playability on my end. gonna wipe my hdd tomorrow and start from scratch with a cfg and see where that leads

I have zero problems… But I’m rockin a heavy duty system. It may be time to upgrade for some.

I don’t think it’s a client side issue for the most part. I have a pretty heavy duty system myself, but I still get what I can only call a delay in my gameplay…weird things like shooting someone in the back 15 times and they don’t die, getting shot around corners, shots which are clearly dead on(from my perspective) not registering as hits, getting killed in [what seems like] 2 shots, etc, etc, etc. And I’m not the only one as there are numerous threads about the various related issues. Best I can figure my client is getting either a really low priority to the server or not communicating as frequently as it should…or maybe the servers are just bogged down. It doesn’t happen every time, and it doesn’t seem to happen to everyone, so it’s hard to nail down the actual cause. But I call it a delay because, as best I can figure, that’s what it is. The 15 shots don’t kill them because they’re not actually standing where I see them. I get shot around corners because on their screen I’m not around the corner yet. I don’t get killed in 2 shots, my client only shows me the 2 hits, when in reality they probably hit me several times more. You get the idea…anyway I’ve run numerous tests on my system and there’s nothing overtly wrong on my end. Further, it’s a problem that’s particular to DB as no other games I play exhibit this behavior(to the extent that DB does I should say). I just wish I knew why some people don’t seem to have an issue and others do, especially since all that do seem to have the same issues(more or less). It’s not completely unplayable for me at all times, but often it is so frustrating it’s just not worth the bother. Then again, other times it seems fine. Go figure…

Edit because I forgot to add my new favorite…mines not detonating. People literally standing on top of it and it doesn’t go off. 2 people casually stroll over another one and 2 seconds later it goes off. And a close 2nd favorite…my turrets don’t shoot at anyone, and even when they do they rarely kill them. Kinda defeats the purpose of them really.

I don’t have a killer rig, just a gtx 560 + 4gb ram + 3ghz dual core… but very playable. I use an edited config to give me a fighting chance. It isn’t ideal and certainly I’d love to see optimizations to push my framerate to a steady 60fps. But far from unplayable.
