I’m running into a problem where I will click play for Dirty Bomb and Steam will say it’s “running” for about 5 seconds then nothing ever happens and the “running” just disappears. Has anyone else had this problem. DB is the only game doing this in my library that I have noticed and it happened after this recent down time.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I wish I had an answer, but I’m having the same problem. For some reason it works when I boot my pc in safe mode, but not in normal mode. ( safe mode is too laggy to play, I’ve only been able to launch the game) Verifying the files doesn’t work for me, neither does restarting it, neither does running by administrator. I used to have problems with audio, but updating my headset’s software fixed it, now I just need to figure out how to launch the game right, and I am golden! The only problem is that every time I click play, it asks for permission to make changes to my computer, then it says running for 15 or so seconds and then, nothing. It goes back to when I never had pressed play.
HELP? ANYONE?
I have been having this problem for a few months now. i have deleted the game and installed it multiple times and it has not worked yet. Admins?
I think it’s AVG. I was just getting this problem too, noticed AVG released an update last night, so disabled AVG, and it loaded first time.
(If you’re not using AVG, no idea, maybe its a firewall/anti-virus issue though on your end)
yeah, from what I have noticed disabling AVG in the advanced settings allows DB to start. You can reenable it immediately after it connects. The same result might work with other similar types of software. Good luck guys.
