Just a theory… There are five days left of the big summer Steam sale.
We know the DLC, patch and assorted extras are ready to roll as they are with the console chiefs to approve so… do you think it will be released during the next five days during the sale? Steam will hoover up loads of new PC players and old ones return to sample the new maps and other goodies.
Also, tellingly the game is now available in ALL regions (finally UK, finally).
Wild conjecture? Yes. But fingers crossed!
I would hope so. The PC version needs something to boost its dwindling population and hopefully bring back some of the locals, because playing on 200+ ping servers is not ideal.

This is one of the only “DLC” threads not to have been locked yet (yes I know that triple account using retard has not posted in it) Perhaps a smidgen of truth here? The devs have been more active in the last day or so with forum posts…

It would make sense from a business standpoint. What better way to get people to buy a game than by cutting the price during the 2 week period that the DLC for the game will be free. Savings + free DLC = much higher chance that anyone who can’t make their mind up about buying this game will see it’s too good of a deal to pass up and nab the game. I hope they put it on sale so that more people start playing on PC again, then maybe all the PC gamers on these forums will stop their moaning and complaining.
All games that have featured in the ‘Camp Activities’ have had small patches issued to add the achievement. Splash released a small update this week. Wild speculation but a hefty discount (66-75%), a camp activity and the DLC being released would make for strong resuscitation attempt on the PC.
Hopefully it’s something like that, getting tired of having to play overseas on servers with 190+ pings when I can’t find games going on here in the states.
to be honest, at this point i wouldnt even care if they make it F2P as long as i get to play with more ppl.

Oh hi, sorry for injecting a little humour into a thread that covers the same topic as 2000 other already locked threads. This thread is afterall covering so much speculation, especially since the thread will be irrelevant in 4 days anyway once the steam sale is over and we see if it has been put up or hasnt.

Maybe I’m just too harsh, I’m just seeing these images pop up everywhere and they tend to get annoying after awhile. So to me the humour is kinda replaced with annoyance.

Now, as Apoc pointed out - in his own borrowed wise words - 1999 other threads have been closed, BUT NOT THIS ONE. Therefore, using internet irrefutable logic, the other 1999 threads were wrong or ruined by weak sauce trolls/flamers.
But only a few days left to see what happens. Like we have all mentioned before, we know the DLC is ready, it is just with the console team waiting release.
