What do you mean Disguise won’t fit in DB? Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a guy disguised as engi1? with the female clothes on and a badly drawn star on his face?

i think a mans body dressed in female clothes wouldnt do it for a duisguise.
though it would render enemy temporally stunned due to making them laugh so much.:eek:

I was seeing the disguise tech in ETQW more like a shape shifter
Now im not sure if it was a complete shape shifting or just clothing changes :S

In ET it was just taking clothes but if you were Axis and took clothes of an Allied Field ops you magically turned Black.

At end of day disguising seems more plausible than cloaking, it was in ET which was WW2 and I’m pretty sure there were no aliens in that game. Also the Mission Impossible films have semi-believable disguising which was a human tech, even if Tom Cruise believes in aliens and such.

Maybe SD could enlighten me on the disguise tech compare to a shape shifter and what kind of disguise tech was used in previous SD games

Hehe…you have to make the disguise perfect (exact model) for it to be effective at all. Killzone 2 had imperfect disguises…it was really, really slight…and experienced players could instantly recognize them as saboteurs. There was no hesitation…the same delay in identification that it takes for spotting any enemy player.

So, you have to just suspend disbelief there…but it’s a pretty solid mechanic if its implemented well.

In my opinion…

TF2: Can activate disguise at any time. NOT COOL
Killzone 2: Can activate disguise at any time… NOT COOL
ET: Have to take the disguise off a dead body. COOL

The ET way makes it harder, but more elegant.

however you think it happens in your head, change clothes, morphosis, very fast skin graft etc
the fact is you look exactly the same except for a subtle difference as in et and etqw.
maybe missing a weapon or my favourite using the wrong weapon ie if each team had different weapons the disguised enemy would be using enemy weapon. but no use here in db.
also lose dusgise if spotted using a weapon while disguised.

some others may remember this but in et you could actually walk up to the enemy not in disguise pretending to be one of them in diguise. oh man memories eh! i miss these lols

basically just like et. btw i hate the throwing knifes atm possibly using as diguised in the back would change my mind.

In Brink, I was in a stacked game, where my team had 2 people and the other had 5. Disguised and hung out with the other team for like ten minutes, before opening fire. At one point, there were 6 of us standing around the objective, and I managed to be behind the person I was disguised as so that he couldn’t auto-spot me…and nobody noticed.

Why does disguise means shape-shifting? What sets an enemy and a friend apart is the IFF not their clothing.

i thought that was obvious you suddenly become the person you are trying to look like. i understand iff but not the way your using it.
if you mean weapons. thats less of a difference than clothes. body second tech third.

shape shifting seems an ok term to me, unless you want to argue over the semantics of what a shape shifter is ie is it the body or is it the whole shabang. like i said earlier. without an animation in game, the why can be whatever you like in your head.

anyway in DB there is no need for disguise as both teams look the same. clothes body weapons. whats left to disguise. of course unless SD have another set of models tucked away that is.

also is stealth happy, sad or just likes posting pictures im not sure.

It’s a meme. As for opinion on the subject, I’ll just let you guys work it out as long as we see disguising in the game :smiley:
