Static environment?

Hey there,

I was wondering myself if the static environment in the current status will be the same in the endgame or if we’ll have some updates later in the progress concerning this?
Because at the moment no object is moveable or shootable at all which makes the enviroment feel static and wrong.
This doesn’t mean everything has to be dynamic (and you don’t have to be able to shoot down everything like in BF), however when shooting a litterbag it should be destroyed etc. Haven’t seen a door yet, too (might have missed it though)

SockDog said that in WhiteChapel you can shoot the traffic cones, but that can’t be everything that is planned in the full game, or?

What is your oppinion on that issue? Do you like your enviroment static or more dynamic?

Yes, I’m also hoping for this. The environment doesn’t seem alive yet. Plants not moving from the wind. I do saw a plastic bag flying around in one of the maps :slight_smile:
I hope more is added and more breakable stuff, for example breakable windows.

Bullet impacts are mainly it for me. They’re just black holes even though the DB has a vast range of different materials present.

This thread is a lie! On whitechapel near attacker’s first spawn, there’s cones you can shoot. They fall over and move when shot. I shot them to the EV one game.

On whitechappel near the EV lift you can see a train go by. Can’t remember which map but there is also a plane flying over head too, I guess more of these things will be added in due course.

tbh i hadnt seen the moving cones, but it means you can have dynamic anything.
chairs, tables, cars!. just change the model.
a push option would be better than having to shoot to move stuff all the time though.

The cones don’t work on lower settings I think, but one thing I noticed, not sure if bug or not, if you die near them your rag doll will react with them regardless of your settings.

i like the func_burning_bush used on the bridges in whitechapel activated by artillery.
lets have more burning buildings if damaged.
