Probably confused it with Quick Eye on the S95 card for Stoker.
My favourite thing is when you some how land 1 perfect shot onto an Aura and take her down in one burst. Oh man it feels rewarding haha.
I use the Stark on any class I can. Since switching to using burst weapons I have a hard time going back to automatic weapons, as I find their performance at medium and long range to be incredibly under-powered by comparison, and my play style tends to be a medium-long range play. In close ranges I rush and use melee, or I’m playing a shotgun class. There’s also that glorious moment when you get a burst head shot and melt HP. Getting aimpunched with an M4 or Crotzni is pretty game-ending, whereas it’s almost entirely negligible with a Stark.
At medium-close to close ranges it pales in comparison to all the automatic weapons and shotties, as it should, but you shouldn’t be rushing while using a Stark or BR anyway.
Grade AAA if you ask me.
Late to the topic, but I’ve actually found the Stark to be a LOT less reliable than it was before.
Obviously everything is subjective and all that, could just be having a bunch of really bad days, but I’m pretty sure I used to perform much better with it than before. Max spread seems to be all over the place now.
60 hours with this rifle out, I hope that gives me some credibility.
I agree, I was using Stark extensively over the past few months while it was slowly being nerfed with every patch.
The spread is becoming unbearable for me. I am also hip firing mostly, but now it feels like I want to ADS. Which is not good. The spread nerf shouldn’t have happened. I am still fine with what they did with vertical recoil. That can be countered. But the spread?? it’s pure RNG.
I use Stark on Stoker since the burst rifle rework and the subsequent fix. It’s great. The nerf in the last patch didn’t really register for me. But I’m a potato with ~33% accuracy

It’s not pure RNG if there is a way to counter it - which there is.
Aim. Down. Sights.
The Stark was way overpowered before its nerf, since you could strafe with it and still be hyper accurate and be able to deal insane amounts of damage at long range - it basically outclassed the PDP and the Grandeur and, if the Vassili didn’t have cover to hide behind, it would even outclass the MOA/FEL-IX too. On top of its amazing capabilities at long range, while being able to remain highly mobile at the same time, it was of course still an absolute beast in medium ranges and in close ranges (getting one clean burst of headshots on an opponent in close range is almost an insta-kill).
After the nerf, it is no longer so strong in long ranges (since you need to ADS after the first burst) and it’s a little less powerful in medium ranges too (since you need to start ADSing on the fourth or fifth burst). This is a good thing.
Considering that strafing and shooting with the Stark at long ranges basically ruined the viability of the sniper classes, it was DEFINITELY needed. It should never have been that strong.

You think the Stark is bad in close range compared to the AK/M4? Its only loss is the fact that it’s less reliable - since you aren’t firing at a steady pace, so you’re more likely to be punished if you miss - BUT if you’re accurate enough, you’ll do FAR better with a Stark than a AK/M4 in ALL ranges.
When someone peeks in close range and you manage to land a solid headshot burst onto them with a Stark, they’re often dead before they can even shoot back - because one burst can deal a full 108 damage if they’re all headshots. In that short space of time, an AK or M4 wouldn’t be able to do anywhere near that much damage.
Ever since they made the stark and br more casual (you first had to actually time when to shoot your second burst, not just spam lmb) I’ve been waiting for a decent nerf on these weapons their dmg output, it’s just pure bs that they can out damage a k121 in cqc by just hitting a burst to the head.
I shall be waiting now for the disagree spam from burst rifle users.

Well… They were definitely more casual BEFORE the changes - when they were actually just constantly firing if you timed it right. Sure, it took skill to time those clicks properly, but the actual skill of aiming was much less important than it is for the current burst rifles.
And yes, the K-121 is strange since it’s weaker than the burst fire rifles, but the fact is that Fragger is so strong anyway (because of his nades) that the devs are scared to make him any stronger in other aspects. Imagine the chains of posts saying “did Splash Damage just buff the best merc in the game for no good reason???” - that’s why the K-121 won’t be seeing a buff any time soon.
@ProfPlump no idea where you’re getting this nonsense from, the people that could fire the burst rifles at their full speed were either using their mouse wheel or couldn’t aim at all, they definitely weren’t more casual before sd decided to make them pure spam rifles.

Problem is that for most firefights at close range you’re probably not going to plink a triple headshot with a burst, and for most players this isn’t consistent anyway. It’s also a lot harder to track motion at close range, so having a gun that just sort of sprays and lands most if not all bullets will serve a little better than a single click burst.
My personal performance at close range with the Stark is fine, I don’t mind it so much, but I very decisively kill players consistently faster at close range with a shotty or auto weapon.

Kinda agree on burst weapons being a bit too much as for now. I wouldn’t mind seeing a small damage decrease.
It’s seriously one of the most satisfying things in the game for me. Hearing that chain of headshot and them simply dropping. It’s downright magical!
