Standard maps for download...

(Qexpres) #1

Hello,
I’m wondering where I can get the other five standard maps to open with GTKradiant, or how to open bsp with GTKradiant.
I’ve got Goldrush.map, but that map is included by GTKradiant, so I don’t know how/where to get oasis, battery, fueldump, radar and railgun…
If would really apreciate if someone could help me with this.

Thanks and greetz Qexpres

Goldrush.map created by GtkRadiant, you cant open other .map files, if you dont have a converter, but I have never try that…
So you can open the 6 standard map, only goldrush.

Oh, before people are going to talk about stealing and stuff…
I want to have those maps to see how everything works (like flags, waterpumps, etc…) and maybe for a trickumpmap.
It’s not my purpose to steal something without knowing what it does.

You can convert the .bsp files into .map files using q3map2. Here is an example commandline for converting fueldump

E:\Q3MAP2\q3map2.exe -convert -format map -game et -fs_basepath "G:\Games\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Modding" -fs_game "G:\Games\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Modding\etmain\maps" -v fueldump

the key is the “-convert” and “-format map” options

Do you have to write this in cmd?
If so… It says that C:\Program isn’t an intern or extarn command (translated from dutch to english). I think the problem is the space, but how to fill the space then? C:\Program%20Files doesn’t work, though.
Thanks for so far allready

If you want you can also use the entire .bat file:

@ECHO OFF

:PATHS
SET MAP_NAME=railgun
SET GAME_PATH="G:\Games\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Modding"
SET MAP_PATH="G:\Games\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Modding\etmain\maps"
SET Q3MAP2_PATH=E:\Q3MAP2\q3map2.exe

:Convert
SET CONVERT_VAR=-convert -format map

:OPTIONS
SET GEN_OPTIONS=-game et -fs_basepath %GAME_PATH% -fs_game %MAP_PATH% -v

:ACTION
START /BELOWNORMAL /WAIT /B %Q3MAP2_PATH% %CONVERT_VAR% %GEN_OPTIONS% %MAP_NAME%
PAUSE

On the command line you can enclose the string by a pair of "

Just like I have done above with my ET location.

Well, I made one whole command of the commands above because else I get an error.
So I have this command:

"C:\Program Files\GtkRadiant-1.4\q3map2.exe" -convert -format map -game et -fs_basepath "C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory" -fs_game "C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain\maps" -v Railgun

Unfortunately when I load the railgun_converted.map it gives me this error again and again and again…:
Warning: Line 152611 is incomplete [01]

What should I do now? Or what did I do wrong?

Thanks for you help anyway!

Hey, thanks for your help, it worked!
I didn’t wait long enough at decompiling. That caused that error.
So let the mapping begin! (again, I’m not stealing…)
