Don’t bother i don’t think that this will be fixed…
Should have downloaded it from some torrent sites before I bought it, and that way i would have money for another working game

Bump for the developers.
And yes this is still at-****ing-large, Crispy won’t answer and there’s no more developers coming 'ere so we DEMAND AN ANSWER!
Whilst I don’t demand an answer, this is the thing that keeps putting me off playing and I’d really like to play more.
As an aside I would imagine that the DLC is a pretty big testing\dev focus right now, and who knows if it patches stuff it might fix the problem.
Out of interest Greer did you buy the disk or download through steam? I was considering uninstalling on steam then re-installing from the disk to see if that helped.
I’ve sent Crispy TWO PM’s asking about this, no answer!
Come on SplashDamage, answer us!
well this is obviously of no interest to splash damage better just lock this thread since no one is intending to help.
I guess SplashDamage can’t fix it.Or don’t want to, as this stopped as soon as i said I use single core processor.
Well SD,we paid for the game,we can run it, and we demand an answer about this error, or a refund of sort as this is a error created by your own coding team(most likely as a virus spreading throughout most professional teams where coders have their arms growing out of their asses),who now can’t understand what they did wrong.Or don’t want to.And I dont give a damn if I do not meet “requirements” they were lowerd anyway, but I can run the game,so I’m fitting to those requirements.
I hope to see an answer soon.Or just assume that your coders team is so moronic they cant optimise the game after ****ing it all over.
Actually i meet the minimum requirements and i’m getting that crash as well, i changed my compatibility mode to windows 2000 and it got a bit better, now it crashes like 15 mins in and not 30 seconds, still it is quite annoying, not to mention I barely have enough time to finish a single mission per run before the game crashes, hopefully they will fix it with the dlc.
The frequency of this error/crash has increased for me since the release of the Agents of Change DLC; when the game decides to crash is inconsistent, but certainly the number of crashes is up.
Alright i’m starting to get to the point where im crying in anger “Not really” and i’m seriously starting to get pissed off about this.
I updated my drivers.
I uninstalled brink and downloaded it again.
I tried running brink in high priority mode obviously didn’t work for me.
I R ANGRY
This error can be caused by litterally anything - particles, models, etc etc.
Someone please tell me how to fix this, Brink’s actually unplayable with this **** showing up all the time. It’s a really enjoyable game, but for the love of god, fix your **** SD.

Figured you might want to have the crashlog. What IS this error, man.
Edit:
Same story, now with some particle.
FATAL ERROR: AllocRenderModel called from a different thread for ‘particles/env/kickup_mud’

When this error shows up, Brink closes and I’m on the desktop again. Fortunately no freezes or whatever some people have. My performance is actually decent too, a steady 30 FPS.
On a dedicated server, the dreaded AllocRenderModel crash hardly ever happens (for me); when running a locally-hosted game (eg., solo visibility), the chance of crash rapidly approaches 100% making BRINK unplayable.
