I’m trying to use some spotlights, so I made an entity info_null and targetname=spot_front1. The I made a light with target=spot_front1. He shows a green line between the two entities, but he doesn’t show any spotlight at all :???:

Try upping the light value for the lights - I’ve noticed that spotlights seem to need about 3-4 times more light strength than regular lights to show up decently. And remember - the light isn’t focused like a real spotlight is - it’s just a normal light pointing in a direction, so if you want a really bright spot, then you’ll need about 7-8 times more light strength.
I allready downloaded that one :), that’s how I came to the entitiy_Null thing, but what I’m actually looking for is that you see the bundle of light trough the sky (like a searchlight in prisons or so, but then aimed up). I guess I will have to do this with a texture with low opacity?
OK, that did the trick. I loaded it as a prefab, to be able to copy the things I needed, but now I have the following odd problem. In my compiled map, he still shows some parts of the searchlight, but when I look in Radiant, there is no trace of it at all
I allready compiled it 3 times, to be sure that I didn’t miscompile or something. When I change something else, he compiles it, but the searchlight allways shows :s
