I liked that he died.
The old crew has to pass on the torch to the new set of characters.

You shut yo’ mouth boi. Han Solo is one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars franchise, he may of had to die eventually, but not like that.

Not like that, I agree, but as I sad earlier, I’d been pretty fucking pissed if he’d just walked away from the bridge confrontation with Kylo.

It would’ve been nice if Kylo jumped off the goddamned bridge. F*cker needs to learn some respect.

I think he’s pretty cool, had some potential to be a cool Jedi, but I’ll never cheer for the dark side.
I hate this movie.
Really.
It’s a cheap reboot of A New Hope with other scenery and characters.
and it lost the SW aesthetics:
-all ships look futuristic as fuck and those fancy new designs don’t fit into SW. The CGI-team just made something hip and new so people think: “wow, cool effects and fancy ships”
-Stormtroopers are stupid as they never been. The only exception is the new female one and that guy who almost fucked up the black guy in an 1vs1.
-The EM-1 rifles look like stupid nerf guns.
And the top of the cake it this utterly retarded ball-droid BB-8.
“Look, we need to please kids since we’re Disney! People like R2, so we need a new one. But a different one, so people know it’s not R2! Let’s make him more gimmicky…A Ball! Yeah, great!”
Gosh! Watching Episodes 1-3 with all characters changed to Jar-Jar-Binks is more pleasant than Episode 7!
But it got positive critics because people need to hype this new masterpiece from Jar Jar Abrahams!

Honestly I’d rather have a copy paste “A New Hope” than another “Attack Of The Clones” aka boring as f*ck. I do think it’s valid that what you’re saying about the story of the movie.
Honestly I think they were a bit afraid to take risks with the first one in the new series so they just reused the plot from the original trilogy (just to put the series back on track for a lot of the old school fans). But since they already destroyed “Deathstar 2.0” I would assume they are going to take a bit more risks with the next ones.
I kinda like BB8 tbh. I loved R2D2 in the original trilogy but in the prequels (mostly in Attack Of The Clones he was just a jerk). So I’m kinda happy that BB8 comes closer to the R2D2 from the original trilogy. At least that’s how I see it.
Stormtroopers have always been pretty stupid if we’re honest. At least they hit something this time
Honestly I think the dialogue was waaaay better in this movie than in any of the prequel movies. Pacing was also better imo and the new set of characters are also more interesting imo.
Phantom Menace => was offensive
Attack Of The Clones => was boring
Revenge Of The Sith => better than the other 2, I actually kinda liked it so I’m not one of those people who say that all the prequels are bad.
At least that’s my opinion but you’re entitled to have yours.
omg dude ! How can you even say that ! Being in your shoes I better don’t say such a thing on the internetz. People will ruin you.
I loved the new movie 9/10. It was a bit too similar to New hope, but JJ truly got the feel of the original saga. Lots of humor, sarcasm, epic costumes, real desert and other filming locations, CGI was really used only in situations where there was no other way, real size x-wing and millennium falcon…
I didn’t give 10/10 just because I felt that the new villains sucked a bit. On the other hand I loved the new heroes. Rey is my new nerd wet dream.

Come on now… The prequels were FAR worse than the new one! Sure, I can’t say I was overly interested in Kylo Ren (he seemed very much like prequel Anakin v2.0), but almost everything else was excellent. You’ve got to admire the great use of practical effects – so it’s not just CGI IN YOUR FACE all the damn time, that’s something I reeeeeeeeally hated about the prequels.
Sure, the film wasn’t perfect, and it wasn’t the best film ever made. What it was, was a fun piece of entertainment that I thoroughly enjoyed and would happily see again.
PS. Changing 90% of the characters in the prequels to Jar-Jar Binks might actually have improved their acting skills drastically.

I don’t know if I could survive such a film.
i was really disappointed when i realized that is just another repeat aka “there is a big weapon that we need to destroy” dont get me wrong the move is really cool
and another wired thing, i saw that every star wars part have 3 parts
just my thoughts
A little on the predictable side, but then also immensely satisfying to watch. The only problem I actually had with it is just the whole… when you’re making a trilogy, the first one is always a little slower feeling than a standalone movie. Not really a bad thing - but I’m eager for more!
Am I the only one who thought it was clever to have it loosely follow A New Hope’s plot?
The movie was a lot of fun and that’s all I really cared about. Went to the theaters twice to have a good time watching it and we got the great time we paid for.
I thought it was kind of cool to show how the dark side can affect those so closely linked to the light side. Shows the danger of pent up anger and stuff. So I think they could do some cool stuff with Kylo. I’m not writing him off yet. I’m fine with
Han dying. It made this movie have consequence. Still sad though.
I liked it, I thought it was definitely better than the prequels, and even if it may not quite be as good as the original, that’s a tall order to begin with, I was still satisfied with the film regardless.
