I was messing around last nigh on a US West server. It was just me any to other guys on Trainyard. We started attacking each other with bats, knives, and revive paddles. More people joined; we convinced them to stick with it. The map changed to Underground and sixteen players piled into the fan control room in a writhing mass of bodies, bats, and knives. I laughed so hard that I couldn’t even get any kills.
Splash Damage, please consider a bats, knives, and paddles game mode.
You can make your own private server and invite people who are willing/want to do that since I don’t really see this as being it’s own mode 
Private matches is nice, but it would be cool if we could do it in pubs to test our skills as well as earning xp.
And how it’s supposed to be balanced? Proxies or Auras will dominate a melee-only game.

Nope, Rhino and RedEye. Using H91 and G41 loadouts, respectively.

We (Steam community group) just played about 5 or 6 games on a private server and it was pretty fun. There will be a video of it up at some point soon. Feel free to join us though, could always have more members!

Every merc has quick slash OR chopper on at least one card. RedEye is the only merc to have both on one card though.

Yeah, I’d say he’s the best for melee. That loadout also has try hard, so you could be a 150 HP RedEye with the strongest melee.
