Splash Damage, Nexon & Valve join forces!

so ****ing true

(Nail) #22

fools, if the game is good, the launcher is irrelevant

(Mustang) #23

It’s not only about the launcher though, moving to the Steam platform gives access to way more things than just a way to start the game.

(Nail) #24

yes, and if the game sucks, that becomes irrelevant as well

(Decaptor) #25

As someone else asked, does this mean that stupid region locking is gone? I certainly hope so. Been waiting to play this since I couldn’t launch the game on the nexxon client.

I knew this was going to come to steam sooner or later.

(MoonOnAStick) #26

Eminently sensible. I approve of the move to this digital distribution and social networking platform.

(Silvanoshi) #27

Errrm Spanish should already be supported O_0 (although there certainly is more work to be done for sure).

No change in that regard. Each partner will continue to operate the game in the territory that they specialise in.

If anything changes with Destiny and Axeso 5, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Wonderbar!

(Raga) #29

ooo yes nice

(rapid_shot) #30

Great news indeed!

Ha. Denying that this couldn’t seriously help a game, whether it sucks or not, is just silly. Plenty of people play crap games, especially free to play, and especially if it’s on steam.

(ImPuls3) #31

So this migration will require new keys. Do we need to sign up for them or will all current players receive new steam keys?

While that’s true insofar as bringing a game to Steam will certainly help make more people aware of it, we’re not really betting on that alone. We’re pretty confident that we’ve got a good thing going here (yes, it won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but then again, nothing is).

You won’t need to sign up again. No need to worry about that :).

(Hansi) #33

Nice. Will it come to Linux aswell?

(Mustang) #34

This was literally answered in the OP

(prophett) #35

Workshop!

Make it happen.

Yes, but its only part of the truth.

The whole truth, is that steam will help the game with its potential.

Its not black or white as you say it is. Haveing all my friends see that Im playing DB all the time, and be able to invite anyone from my long list of old and new friends, will help with its potential.

If the game has zero potential, then and only then it wont matter at all, but has long as DB has some potential to work with, it will matter if DB has steam or not, in a positive way.

A good game will benefit of being on steam.
A semi good game will benefit of being on steam.
