Twitter: @brinkthegame

Hey guys, for all you who want to see some recent feedback please go here http://twitter.com/#!/brinkgame and keep this thread bumped because they have posted here as recent as the 19th and it seems they reply to post on twitter! Also as you can see on here they also had something going on on the Brink.TV website on the 19th as well, looks like the SD team really is still alive.

Hate to burst your bubble but people have been making threads about these Twitter posts for a while now. Here’s the most recent one: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28787

i asked them about ATI and havent had a response. for me thats the main issue.

(zenstar) #4

Apparently the latest ATI drivers have known OpenGL issues. Been reading some stuff at the Spiral Knights forums and yeah… ATI not in a happy place at the moment. This makes the fouth game I’ve heard of having issues with ATI recently.

(Darksider) #5

The big part of the issue is on ATI’s end with their OPENGL format drivers, until they update their or fix their Openngl protocol for their cards, not much you can do…

(Kurnuttaja) #6

ATI should just damn buy the OpenGL driver software from Nvidia, no matter what cost and then configure it for ATI cards.

(zenstar) #7

ATI should beat their driver developers, then throw lemon juice on them and then fire them. Then hire people who can actually write drivers.

That was actually me who they responded to on the 19th lol!

Sorry OP, but ‘we’ll tell you when we’ve got a date’ is about as much use to me as a chocolate ashtray.

Can’t believe you actually suckered me into clicking that link…and learning absolutely nothing new. The Beth gag on SD is clearly all-encompassing.

Appreciate your enthusiasm, but, for me, SD-on-twitter is a big bag of fail. Ich bein eine sad-panda.

(Thundermuffin) #10

My 4870 played Spiral Knights flawlessly, lol; didn’t even know it had trouble!

(Verticae) #11

So, first you make a thread saying you should run SD’s Twitter because the way they’re doing it isn’t good enough, then you post a thread saying ‘hey look SD has active Twitter’? You make very little sense to me.

(its al bout security) #12

its not very active, he wanted more to make a news thread or act as their pr guy.

what i dont understand is why you pointed that out but mmkay

I think it’s only certain cards. Most ATI models seem fine with most games but if you have one of the problems cards you’re screwed. There was some post from the Spiral Knight guys saying something along the lines of (I paraphrase):
If you’re having [some issue] it is a known bug with the 11a and 11b (or some numbers) of the ATI Catalyst drivers and not a bug with the actual game.

It may have been something innocuous. I have an Nvidia so I don’t pay much attention to the details of the issues but I’ve become more and more aware of people complaining about ATI recently. /shrug it’s probably the loud minority but it’s enough for me to never concider an ATI as long as Nvidia keep going.
