Interesting that you reference BC2. That game also had ATI issues when it was release. Don’t you remember? The issues were patched in within a couple of weeks. Honestly, it’s not uncommon to for games to have ATI issues. I’m an ATI user as well, but I think my model, the 5850, doesn’t have as many issues as other games.
Other BC2 issues you make have forgotten:
Master server going down in the first 2 weeks. This meant NOBODY could play.
Horrible, horrible hit detection issues. Fixed by reducing server loads (within the first month) and moving the hit boxes behind the player models (several months to fix. Hit detection is still broken with some vehicles.
The UMP reload animation bug
Friends lists getting deleted.
Server browser being slightly broken for at least a month.
The AN94 and AT4 balancing debacles (patch).
The blue chatbox patch problem (patch).
I could go on.
Borderlands (port forwarding issuse, fov), CoD2, CoD4, WaW, MW2, and BlackOPs all have had bugs on release. I’m not saying Brink is perfect, I’m just saying the same **** happens for all games. Reviewers and gamers singling out Brink is unfair when the bugs only affect one game’s score and not all games across the board.
Ok, first the issues you mentioned didnt make the game unplayable for ATI users, yes there were some balance issues and some registration issues. The people that had driver issues were from the brand new 5k series cards when BFBC2 came out. the driver issues here are an across the board problem! I never have a problem with my 4870 running BFBC2, even in the beta.
I havent forgotten the issues of BFBC2, the issues were their but didnt make the game unplayable. The only time the servers went down is when they did the first update and it wasnt for 2 weeks.
the same **** for all games really? Cause i havent heard of any game breaking bugs from Portal 2. I can forgive a developer for some bugs, but they released the game early because they said it was finished! Clearly the game wasnt even close.
