Speed mapper in-need of a job
Some advice which may help:
-
Always link to an online portfolio if submitting a job application via the net (create one if you haven’t already done so).
-
Keep an updated CV available online to send to prospective employers should they request it.

Kind of true, but the questions you asked are related to the Quake 3 engine in general. A lot of people have been mapping for Q3, RTCW, JK2, SOF2, etc for many years and know all there is to know about the engine.
Folks, this is a forum. It lifes because people ask questions. old mapper or not, we all have questions.
There are some new stuff in ET so its ok to ask questions about tracemaps or other stuff.
What i ment in was that i may might not know all but i’m still a speed mapper and in need of a job.
can i say that?..
juat because i’m new to some aspecs of mapping don’t mean i’m a total newbie, anyway.
I’m really i well rounded mapper and game designer with years of commercial development under my belt.
I’m just use to working on teams where we decide new things to do and then make them happen with the help of techs and programers that rewrite stuff around our ideas ,not me making my ideas work with the parts of the engine i’v neverd learned. do that make any sense?
i hope so becuase i still need a job… here in austin, now!
I have to ask, why are you posting about needing a job on the forum of a company based in the UK if you want a job in Austin?
And while we’re at it - I need a job too.
I even have a portfolio! http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dave88/portfolio.htm
So if you SD guys ever want someone to supplement your already superb team, you know where to find me
Dam, you need to remove the WWW. from that link, otherwise it doesnt work.
