@jollyRacer Personally I am not excited about her, because I dont like snipers. But thats just my subjective opinion. From a more objective point of view I think it will be just very unlikely that she will find a really useful role in the game.
If you look at the different classes, the recon class is the one with the hardest stand.
All medics are incredible good. Aura is great for defending and even when attacking her healing station can be a base for starting an attack. Phoenix and Sawbonez are both great front line/direct support medics. Sparks has this interesting mixture of reviving from distance and sniper.
Fire support: They are all very useful as they mainly have the same stats. Arty and skyhammer for EV maps and Stoker for indoor maps. Kira is maybe not that good for stopping an EV but her laser can kill almost whole teams in capable hands.
Assault mercs: Fragger is the go-to killer. Nader can be easily picked up by beginners and when mastered is also outstandingly devastating. Even Rhino has its place in defending especially in combination with a healing station and good positioning. Just Thunder is the odd one out in this class, but still has potential for a rush after a well placed grenade.
Engineers: Also a well rounded class. Fletcher can deal so much damage. Bushwhacker with the Kek-10 together with a well placed turret is also great. I got several Aces with him, by killing 2-3 enemies myself and the turret on the other side of the map doing the rest. With Proxy you can do fast surprise plants/repairs, the mines are annoying as fuck and can be used as warning mechanism for enemy movement.
Those classes are all essential for a succesful game. When you look at the recon class, they are more of an add on. A recon player must be way better to serve the team equally as another class. I have never seen that people complain when there are 2 of them in a team. Have 2 Vassilis and people will immediatly complain. The recon classes are just difficult to fit into a match. So Aimee will be a sniper and thus be in direct competiton with Vassili and Redeye. Strangely I have seen more good Redeye player than Vassili players. From a pure Sniper perspective, Vassili is the go-to merc and he just got his jump shot nerved. So Vasilli player are very salty anyway. Stat wise Vassiliy outclasses Aimee due to higher health. So she has to bring something to the table that makes up for that. Her ability. If her ability doesnt make up for her inferior health, people will use Vassili. If her ability is too good people will immediatly scream OP.
The problem I see is, that the meta for the game is already set. If you introduce a new merc that will change the meta too much players wont be to happy about it. So chances are big that either, she will be just another Vassili (then there is no need for her, because we already have one) or she will be inferior to him to not destroy the meta. The only chance for her to fit into the game is, in my opinion, if her ability brings something new to the game without changing the existing game play too much. And thats a very thin line.
