Spawntime in dependence of the location of vehicles

(nUllSkillZ) #1

Hi,

after playing Fueldump yesterday I’ve had the idea that spawntimes could depend on the location of the vehicle.
E.g. if the vehicle is near one spawn the spawntime should be “long”.
Because you will be at the vehicle in a very short time.
And other way round.

P.s.:
Asking myself why I haven’t had this idea earlier (playing W:ET for more than 2 years now).

I think changnig spawn times while a map is running is too confusing and not a good idea. IMO this may be ok for public servers where people don’t really care about spawn times, but not for competition.

on a map like fueldump, this could seriously hurt the axis as the tank is constantly moving toward them and away from allies, at least until the gate is blown. there is nothing worse than waiting to spawn while you know the tank is getting closer and closer to opening up the gate. if your reinforcement time was increasing as you waited it might be intolerable.

If the tank was moving toward the objective, increasing the spawntime, wouldn’t that basically stop axis from spawning while the tank goes forward? Or it could increase on the next spawn, not the current one?
