Spawnpoints don't switch.

Yowz,

I’m working on a lil’ dueling map and, in this map, there should be an ability for a player to switch from room to room (picture it as a map with multiple rooms, all sealed off of eachother, with 2 spawns in each of them) . So I’ve put in “team_WOLF_objective” 's.

The problem is…when I click these thingies on my limbo-screen in-game…I can’t spawn there. It says in the explenation that it makes a players spawn near the spawnpoint nearest to it…it only makes the player spawn at the original spawnpoint :slight_smile: .

Anyone who minds helping me out on this (probably stupid) lil’ thingy right here? :slight_smile:

Do you have also team_CTF_blues- and team_CTF_redspawns near the team_WOLF_objective’s?

i dont know what is wrong, but i had the same problem once, there is a .map somewhere on here with a working spawn, i gtg but when i find it ill post it for u, it might come of soem help, it did me

Yupz…I have info_limbo_camera’s which are targetted at all of the team_WOLF_objective’s. I sorta have multiple spawn…3 for each side :slight_smile: .

Erhm, there are no forward spawns or flagpoles in my map…it’s just a dueling map, with multiple rooms, which you cannot go in from 1 room into another. So, therefore I made the multiple spawns. Kinda like the 2 spawns of the axis at the far end of radar (the lil’ hut and the factory thingy). Those aren’t forward spawns, but you can switch between them. Well, that’s the kinda thing I want to have in my map, but can’t, cause I dunno how :slight_smile: .

If you still can’t understand my crappy english I’ll post some pics to show you what I mean.

Hmm, you should try to make two “team_WOLF_objective”-entites at each spawn area.
And choose “axis_default” for one and “allies_default” for the other one in the entity window.
Not sure if this is working.

:bump: srr bout this lil’ bump, but if anyone is reading this, could you please be so kind to take a look at the .map above and tell me what’s wrong with it? (just the spawns, not the actual map :smiley: )

If you want the spawn points selectable from the beginning, then check the ‘startactive’ option for the team_CTF_blue and reds. If you don’t want them selectable from the beginning, then you leave ‘startactive’ unchecked but make the spawn blobs active via your script.
