Spawn System?

I heard that within a certain distance of your spawn that if your enemy tries dropping traps and mines and turrets. They will just get negated thus wasting that persons supplies and infuriating them.

Thats awesome! I wish that had been done in Warhawk. People who just mine jets in your main spawn in that game are EVIL!!

Even the spawn system in Brink is good enough to help fight off spawn campers without the added awesomeness SD are putting in. Look at MAG it ios so hard to spawn camp in MAG because when you spawn in waves its not just 1 or 2 guys its like 10 or 20 at a time. I imagine that its the same for other ‘wave spawning’ in games.

In regards to the spawn system, will you be able to see exactly how many seconds there are till the next wave? Also will there be a spawn delay? By that i mean (this happens in MAG) Theres like 4 seconds till the next wave and you decide to spawn cause theres no medics so u hit spawn but for some reason it takes 5 seconds to actually go back to the main wait screen and you miss the wave so need to wait another 20 seconds.

At PAX it was 20 seconds in between waves but they have said that can be tuned for balance pretty easily later if it is needed. The spawn wave countdown is right on the bottom of the screen on the right side of a bar that pops up when you are downed, with the number of medics en route to you on the left side, you can also see their outlines and distances away while you are down, so all the info you need is in one area right away.

Whenever the counter hit zero I spawned instantly at the Command Post if I had chosen to, actually I never actually saw the zero just 3…2…1…respawn. Once or twice I was dropped in a bad spot for a pickup with only a couple seconds left and instantly flipped the stick right to select the next spawn wave and got right into it even though I only was incapped a couple seconds before the wave.
