Long story short, if the defenders manage to push the Attackers back to their spawn (At the repair EV objective), it’s really easy to keep spawnkilling the attackers at their spawn with mercs like rhino (especially with an Aura combo). I just had a whole team spawnkilling/camping at Attackers spawn and it was majorly unfair. I suggest adding something like a barricade so that the Attackers atleast can spawn normally without getting their ass handed.
Spawn Killing
On that map and obj, I have seen this happen only 1-2 times. In both cases our team sucked bawls very, so we just deserved to be destroyed and tbagged.
I am more worried about the last obj spawn on Chapel.

Yes, because getting killed every 1-2 seconds when you spawn tells you that you are a horrible team whilst they are camping with aura + rhino’s, naders, fraggers and the occasional skyhammer airstrike and can’t even seek cover from stuff. Even if it was due to the team sucking, it shouldn’t be allowed to happen ever.
so what should happen? people get kicked from the server cause game is unbalanced?
spawnkilling is 99% unbalanced teams, and 1% bad map design.
This is likely not what OP is thinking of but chapel and trainyard finales are often unfortunate mandatory spawn camps and that isn’t just 1% bad map design or, like bridge, close to the full potential of delivery objectives, as Splash Damage hopefully knows from the examples in their previous work.
That aside, spawn camping is made easy by funneling on some maps but it doesn’t happen when teams are balanced. Therefor, invincible instant death defensive turrets/mines in spawns (for example) may move a symptom the problem but not solve it.

Kicking them? No.
Having an actual safe® place to spawn and orientate? Yes.
Funny as hell, this time it happened @ Chapel.
Spawnkilling is surely not a problem guys.
Did this the whole match long. Both at the stairs facing the spawn and @ the ledge with the cars.
People are correct it is mostly a balance issue however some of this also falls on you to be smart when exiting a spawn.
Go a different way…
Wait an extra second.
Teamwork your way out. (Revive)
Kill your way out.
Spawn Camping is an amazing part of Stop Watch game mode. Some of the best teams in RTCW, ET and now DB are the best spawn killers and spawn kill avoiders.
Spawn Killing in a balanced game is actually quite skillful and can turn the tides of a round or a push. It makes for epic games, epic Esports and epic frags.
A good spawn camp can get the blood flowing and make watchers go crazy with excitement!
Spawn Camping is amazing!!! And guess what its only going to get worse with more mercs that are released
But WC’s always been like that. No matter how they change the spawn there it’s always camped out!
Maybe the map is cursed?
I remember so much trouble for mappers with the church obj., but now is even worse with the last objective.
…or maybe (in pub games) we could have an algorithm to sort players into teams in a way that would be some how balanced???
…yes, I know, I’m talking heresy here :o sarcasm
Spawnkilling is no matter of skill, once you have pushed the attackers back to this extend (by for example killing 3-5 people with a lucky skyhammer airstrike), all you have to do is sit down and kill spawning people @ spawn whilst laughing your asses off. I think people should be able to kill you near the spawn, but not when you have spawned in an open area and people are just spamming everything and wiping every spawnwave.
it very much is a matter of skill.
On pubs, you only get spawnkilled if your team would get destroyed anyways. Even if the enemy team can put up a nice crossfire, with equally skilled teams, they shouldn’t be able to keep up with the wave after wave of close-respawning enemies. Perhaps it is less true if everyone is of poor skill and spawnkilled enemies hide in their spawn rather than slaughtering the setup with kamikaze rushes.
Comp is another matter altogether, but hey - spawnkilling is a major element of that part of the game.
