Playing Sparx I noticed that the revive gun sometimes still will not revive downed players. It surely is not that bad as it was when Sparx was introduced. Anyhow I`d say that the revive - though properly aimed - will not succed. If this happens it will allways take around 3 retries.

a) aim above the downed body. the hitbox is actually quite large above the body
b) sometimes the body is shown not quite where it is. If the body almost fell of a ledge, it might fall - only to be teleported to the top of the ledge again. If you try to revive it while its falling/on the ground, you will miss as the actual hitbox is still on the ledge. similar stuff applies to body’s shoved around by explosions.
