Think it was fine honestly, I play Sparks a lot and all I noticed is I can’t spam my Revive gun but I rarely did that anyway
It looks good. Will have to play with her a bit to really know but for now I like it on paper.
i agree with fixing “REVIVR now deals the correct amount of damage to objectives” as it was just broken.
i dont know why the other changes had to be made, im now running out of charge like a pro haha.
i used to carry my team mostly playing offensively, it seems they want her to stay back for good

good bye ressing the whole team twice within 10 secs.
good players counter a sparks by always gibbing and shes quite redundant at that point cause youll never res anyone again.
except maybe if you manage to time the res perfectly while your mate is just about to collapse and then toss some meds on him, i dont know.

dunno why she was considered op, after the reviving mechanics got changed recently i have never heard anyone complain about her again.
her potential of ressing, self healing and damaging enemies was pretty good. even if you missed a res you could do some clutch moves and dish out enough damage to take down a few enemies.
now it seems you need to rely on some low dps empire9 all the time cause you run out of charge every few shots.
i dont think she will have any use in comp in her current state. her damage output is now too minimal and her ressing is cirvumvented by just keeping your fire on the enemies youre downing.
the new effects are nice.
i was hoping to see a medkit size increase for her. these things can be hard to pick up, sometimes you just run over them.
I feel the damage to objectives nerf was needed, but Im not so sure about the other nerfs, especially since I think most sparks use the charge speed augment and I wonder if this balancing has essentially been based on these 2 loadouts making them essential.
On another note, Im really hoping they change sparks healing to something that fits her role as a ranged medic more. Plus does anyone else feel its quite lame that a medic as interesting as sparks gets boring med packs especially since every other medic has a different way to heal from each other. Aura has the med station, sawbonez was already doing medpacks, good ones at that, and phoenix has the healing aura around him, while sparks just gets bad medpacks.
Something like an alternate mode for her REVIVR or using the grenades on her model to heal would be nice.
I suppose I’m going to have to agree, I certainly won’t be able to rez spam now.
Although, Id like if it didn’t drain as fast so I can afford to miss more.
But she is better at melee atm than Phantom…
Sparks is so weak in the first place and then they nerf her more, it’s stupid. Please nexon at least give her decent primary, her primary is everyone’s elses’ secondary
Objective nerf was needed obviously.
I’m curious to the reason of the nerf, I have seen very few complaints about her and VERY few players play her to the level needed to even discuss her. The change is minor but does force her into a more passive role, using a full charge and follow up quick shots is a huge risk to do now because of the battery usage.
If you have to nerf something nerf the min charge drain but remove the 10% increase drain rate.
The min charge nerf was not justified IMO, the min taps at range did not do a lot of dps and helped her be a somewhat successful medium/long range opponent without full charging and popping out, and still required multiple precision head shots WHILE moving slower with the tapping and if its the min charge spamming revives that’s the problem consider adding a power drain on successful revives instead.
Another thing to consider is if you’re worried about her spamming min charges in the attempt to revive someone as they die, you have to acknowledge while shes doing that, shes not contributing damage to the team effort.
If you insist on doing it this way you should make it so Quick Charge does not increase the rate the gun uses energy.
It becomes harder to justify using her over Sawbonez now, because of her lack of heals and non sustainable damage output, and she is still just as weak to aggressive pushes against her and due to her being very difficult to play ESPECIALLY against opponents who know their movement well, I can never see the reason to play her in Comp against a coordinated team. Shes too much of a liability.
Its also interesting they touch on sparks but not Vassili.
I don’t think she needed nerfing beyond the objectives fix. She’s bad at healing and she doesn’t have the health or guns to be good at fighting. The reviver is all she has.
I wouldn’t mind the nerf if she got buffed elsewhere.
I’d be fine with the nerfs if she’d only get slightly better health packs my god, they are so weak. At least make them a bit better for OTHERS if not for her, people hardly spot the packs and when they do take them it barely heals them. That’s why Sparks was better of rezspamming than healing.
I think some of the changes were justified. I haven’t actually played tried her after the nerf, but it seems excessive. In particular, battery draining even before you hit max charge seems harsh. Battery depletes fast enough as it is.
It could’ve been balanced by making it recharge faster, though. You wouldn’t be able to spam it as much, as once it’s drained you can’t use it until it’s fully charged again, but still not break it entirely.
personally i didnt notice the changes that much. i still rack up revives and get kills with the revivr. but maybe its my playstyle. when i play sparks im 90% about reviving and healing. killing is mostly in self defense or if no one is hurt/dead.
