I feel that her rez tool either should do much less damage to people or non at all, being as its a tool to rez people not kill people. its like having a medic sniper combo which is very unbalanced. I have had many people agree with me and many people who play her a lot even say its unbalanced. so there should be something done about this tool, either fix it or take the damaging of players away. A medic should be just that, a medic.
Sparks Tool
But then Sparks would be left with pretty much no combat capability. The reason the REVIVR deals damage is to function as her pseudo-primary weapon, as she only has machine pistols otherwise.
well they could give her an smg or something else, because there is a perk that allows her to be able to charge it up fast enough to out shoot most other guns up close and even worse at range.
You need to get a headshot to instakill any merc with 120 HP or less. This is absurdly hard, especially in close quarters, because:
- Charge time.
- Pinpoint accuracy, so no random spread to get you a random headshot.
- Only 60 damage if you hit them in the body
- You’re screwed if you miss the first shot.
- Your enemy most likely has a weapon that can out damage you.
- Sparks only has 80 health.
- REVIVR has no zoom.
Seriously, do you even know how hard it is to get consistent headshots with it?
Worth noting: spam revivr shots deal ~20 damage after .32s charge time. That works out to 60-70 dps (depending on actual min damage). The tolen is 110 dps, while a crotzni is 130. Sparks wins in cqb by pre-charging a revivr shot and following up with her empire-9 if she landed a body shot. She can’t win shootouts with spam revivr shots until other weapons start to hit damage drop off.
Only deals 65 damage a full charge shot, so 130 damage a headshot. Fragger and Rhino will survive.

Isn’t it 60? I get hit bit a REVIVR shot sometimes and it only does 60. Does it charge in lots of 5 damage?
I see the frustration and at times she might be pretty OP if the enemy player is deadly accurate and experienced since she is fast and can heal herself alongside with a sniper killing reviving gun, 2 so-so primary and secondary and incredible speed.
She might be slightly OP in certain situations and I’m not sure if it needs a change since she does have a unfair advantage to have that many utilities when you think about it. However if you compare experienced Fletchers, Fraggers, Proxies, Sawbonez and Kira they are actually OP too in the right hands. Like the explosive placement is guranteed to kill, they can SMG/Assualt Rifle snipe literally all headshots. They can heal themselves or drop lasers that demolish the whole team, hide mines where you don’t expect it and pick at you.
Yea…I’m outta ideas but hope this makes sense
I don’t mind Sparks too much, but someone had a rather good idea in my opinion, of reducing the headshot multiplier on Revivr. Just so it doesn’t one-shot nearly every merc.
I don’t mind that she can deal damage with revivr, it only bothers me that she can 1 shot low health mercs. That’s the only thing that should be fixed IMO. I don’t mind if they are left with 10hp or something like that, but 1 shot is just too much.
She is the ONLY merc in the game to have secondary weapons as her “primary” (ie. Machine pistols), so removing any kind of damage from her REVIVR would be a significant nerf and would make her almost useless in any kind of combat situation, other than finishing off low HP single targets.
She’s a LOT weaker than Vassili, as a sniper.
- 20 hp less than Vassili.
- No spotting or scouting abilities.
- REVIVR does maximum 65 damage to body, while Vassili does 75 or 79 with his main snipers (not including PDP).
- REVIVR does maximum 130 headshot damage, while Vassili does 150 or 158.
Who? And if so, how much time have they got logged on Sparks to see how she plays?
Sawbonez has some of the best weapons in the game at his disposal, and Aura and fly around the battlefield like no-one’s business popping shots with shotguns and bouncing all over the place, while Phoenix is only slightly worse off than Sawbonez for combat. Medics in Dirty Bomb aren’t JUST “medics” that can’t fight back, they are equally as suited for combat as the rest of the mercs.
No there isn’t. There is a perk that allows her to charge 25% faster, and even then her DPS is much lower than pretty much every other weapon in the game. If a Sparks charges to full and 1-shots you with a full charge, while you run around for 2 seconds, unable to deal 80 damage to her with your SMG (while should in theory take less than 1 second if you are aiming properly), then she DESERVES to win the fight because of better aim and movement.
I think that since many people are complaining about the Nerf gun, they should buff the damage of the main weapon such as the Empire-9, Tolen MP, and MP4000. The reason why players that play as Sparks is because the main weapon is useless and barely does any damage. Adding more damage to the gun will get players to use the main weapon more rather than the Nerf gun
Buffing those smgs would also add quite some strength to other mercs using those smgs as their secondarys.
Easier to just give her a decent primary and tweak her all around to not be that special and be more like the other medics, Revivr would still be there as the best revive tool in the game, so she still has her specialty.
Today i had one of the worse experiences i have seen in this game.
2 Assault sparks. And they didnt even managed to get a single hit on me.
Reducing or removing damage on her revival gun would fix this shit, and give a rebuff on the revival stats.

Sparks is terrible in less skilled hands, so you want to nerf her? Would you prefer to see a bunch of assault vassilis who don’t use their heartbeat sensor and miss all of their shots? Maybe some skyhammers who never throw ammo? If you nerf sparks into the ground, terrible sparks players will be terrible on some other merc. You won’t make them good players.
