Sparks tip in Pub

Hi everyone, I maybe new on forums, but I have played DB for a while now, mainly playing medics. Since recently I have played Phoenix a lot, he does quite well in chaotic public server. So now I want to become good at Sparks or at least be decent with her, but there are a few obstacles for me:

  1. I’m really bad at sniping.
  2. I always try to revive/heal people every time, so lacking of Line of sight for revive makes me go near friendly in front line and then get shot in the way.

I wonder should I (sometimes) try to ignore reviving/healing people (if they are in bad places can cause my death) and focus on practicing sniping with Sparks Revifle or just only sniping enemies when I actually can. And I mean in a chaotic public server. By chaotic I mean: less experience players on my team, lots of explosives and maybe good snipers from enemy team. I do enjoy playing support so getting negative K/D doesn’t mind me. It’s just all boil down to this situation being a not so good “Vassili”.

There are a few things I would recommend, but its really comes down to you have to play sparks a lot and figure out what works best for you.

Personally, I stick pretty close to my team, There are not a lot of maps where you can just hang out at long distance. Spas is the fastest merc is you get the first edition 181 loadout, and on that I would recommend working on your wall jumping and being able to make quick escapes for when things get too deadly.

Quick draw is a pretty great augment to have because you swap weapons so much, and it is really helpful in close quarters, you can hit someone with a full charge of the rev gun, then swap to one of your mps or pistols and finish them off.

if you are really trying to learn sparks I would say dont go for quick charge, for me, I learned how to use the rev gun more effectively without having to rely on it.

Oh and you want to fire from the hip with the rev gun, you lose valuable rev time when switching to ADS there is one first edition loadout that has quick eye if you prefer ADS but since Sparks is so squishy, hipfire and moving quickly will keep you more safe.

There is a lot more I could go on about but I am a little out of it right now so I’ll maybe try to word better later, but I will also say is that just experiment with the different loadouts, the 383 is only really good if you are playing a dedicated medic on an organized team.(I am sure someone will disagree but that has been my experience.)

Oh right and just to get better with the rev gun you have to use it… a lot, so try not to rely on the MPs too much.

Thanks for the advice, especially with reminding me about Sparks loadouts. I admit there are quite a few situation I missed my Revive gun then switch to MPs in close quarter. I still heavily rely on MPs in close quarter.

The second thing is I can’t see enemies from a far very well, which leads to I usually ADS when engaging long range. I’ll try to hip firing more.

i recommend using unshakable this week

the only thing that you should focus on is:
1.sniping
2.instant revives on people that are pushing

just when you see that someone is pushing, charge revivr and if he dies you gotta revive him soo he wont get finished

going with your team will only work in pubs, on high level play you will just get destroyed without even noticing what the hell happened

iq would go with 383/282

Please learn spawntimers, never revive a player who’s 2 seconds from spawning - you risk long spawning them as Sparks.
