Sounds attached to a brush

Well, after looking through 504 matches with the word “sounds” or “sound” in it, I’ve came up empty handed…what I’m trying to do is make a generator which has a special zoomy-sound to it which I Sound-Forged…only problem is, the generator is worldspawn…and if I use the key:

  • music
  • sounds/gen.wav
    I end up getting it in the whole map. And it stops after playing about 5 times…So bassically, my question is: how do I get it to loop the whole time, non-stop, and how do I attach it to 1 single brush…

Help? :frowning:

Use the in-game speaker editor/system. Check the LDR for how to use it. You basically can drop a speaker in the map, move it around, loop it, make it play due to scripting etc…

Hi!
To loop a sound that is for example 32 sec, you can do this: func_timer (with wait 32) —> trigger target_speaker (with the sound). Make the speaker “no_pvs”.

Interesting…this in-game speaker-editor is really handy! Thanks a lot guys! SD saves the day once again! Well…my map’s sounds…bah, it’s the same :smiley:
