Sound questions

Alright, my goal is to completely remove the sound. The sound will be removed on the exploding of a grenade. I also want it to be replaced by a high frequency sound, and sound must be faded back in. I really have NO idea where to start :bored: :frowning:

take a look at cg_local.h and there deactivate the trap_S commands … but i dont know whether you also have to edit the game dll …

I want to disable the sound on an explosion, like you became deaf, I don’t want it to be disabled permanently.

The same as it’s done in COD? Problably should just make a new sound fx for it…

Can you make an avi (with sound) of what happens in COD ? Don’t have the game

then open cg_event.c and look in function EntityEvent for your event where the sound is played and put some comment signs (//) in front the line where the sound function is called
