Sound mod help

(gerbalblaste) #1

This may seem rather simple to all of you advanced coders. but at risk of imbarissing my self here goes:

I’m making a small sound mod for et, a replacement for the flamethrower souns, and i have made the sound files, they are in .wav format, 44 khz, mono, 706 kbps.

i have put them in a pk3 filein etmain in the correct internal directory sounds/weapons/flamethrower but i can’t seem to get the sound file to load into the game.

also they are correctly named flame_burn, flame_pilot etc.

i have done everything i can think of to make it work so i come and asked for help here.

Have you zipped the pk3 file with winrar?

There are some other issues with sounds.
I think it has been mentioned in the level-designers forum.

In this link theres another link you should also read.

Try to use pakscape for making the pk3 file.
