Sound issues after the update

anyone else having problems?

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled just to be sure it wasn’t me. Audio works fine for other audio sources.

last match i had Music and Mic, but no sfx. Now this round i have nothing again. Weird?

Maybe you messed up with config files?

You’re not alone. Try deleting your current config files so that the game is able to generate new ones, it might fix this issue.

Also had some problems with, I think (dunno4sure?!), some of Arty’s sound cancelling your ingame-sound totally for a while (10-15secs, probably the same amount of time of the echo-ing sounds before?). Was on underground, so probably not some airstrike, but still could have been.

All the sounds except the “Boom!” when matchmaking found team mates where gone. Removing the Config folder fixed it. Thanks, @Kirays!

Did this and still got the issue with Sparks reviving sound. Feels weird without it, everytime I think that I missed my shot.

It feels like sounds only play 50% of the time now.

The BR sounds like absolute trash for me now too, and also has no hit blips. I also don’t get any revive sounds, and with everything else, I feel like only 50% of the other sounds actually.

Deagle sound sucks too and sometimes when I die, I go into third person for a couple seconds and can move around, then keel over dead.

i messaged DB on twitter and they told me they were aware of the sound issues and were working on it.

I’m gonna be completely point blank, on some weapons this update makes them sound BETTER: Specifically the crotzni, deagle, and Grandeur but on most other weapons yeah, they need their sound back. Is there a way to force the weapons currently broken to stay that way?

You love the Crotzni sound ? :open_mouth: It feels like it’s coughing every time to me. The BR16 is even worse, like it’s gonna jam or break into pieces each time you pull the trigger.

I can agree on the bursts not sounding great, but the crotzni sounds AMAZING to me. Like, really sharp and crystal clear for each bullet, slightly more metallic than it should probably sound, but I love it.
