Sound in Script - how to put sounds in your map?

Hey, i want to put a sound file as an objective at the start of the map. I have looked at scripts, but their file path is weird :S and i’m not good with scripting any how.

I just want to know how do you put objective sounds and ambient sounds (what are ambient sounds? is it the background soundtrack through the game?) also, i made an axis team door, but i get no sound from it, no squeek as it opens, no cha-chung when an allied tries to open it :frowning:
help me!

Ambient sounds is the same thing as background sounds. To add it all you have to do is open up your worldspawn entity window and type in music for the key and whatever wave file you have for music.

As for your lack of squeeking, I’m trying to figure that out as well. :???:

sound types:
0 - nosound (default)
1 - metal
2 - stone
3 - lab
4 - wood
5 - iron/jail
6 - portcullis
7 - wood (quiet)
