Something is wrong with the Vote shuffle

I heard lots of votes fail in other servers, but since the comp is dead in Asia, the vote usually passes.

Anyway, I don’t know why this is happening but when the vote passes, it only changes the team’s sides without shuffling any of our team mates.

So the whole guys in the 8vs8 match including me tried another shuffle after we only switched sides, but it happened again, went back to original state somehow. (ex. Attacker -> Defender -> Attacker again)

Also, vote shuffle force you to die when you change sides, right? Only some guys with high score including me were alive, and others were dead so that I could stand by in some locations to spawn kill them.

Why is this happening?? These were very embarrassing moments.

Was the lobby full when the teams were assigned? If yes, then the shuffling algorithm in-game has the same data and will divide you into the same teams. The only silly thing is swapping sides.

I’ve seen an exact situation like that twice. Shame people don’t know that and I constantly see shuffle votes on servers that started full.

Server was 15/16, due to the bug that doesn’t allow someone to join the last vacancy.

We all tested it couple more times, but soon gave up because we were all tired changing sides with exactly same team mates lol

Had the same situation yesterday. Seems like new patch did this.

It happened before this Jan Fine Tuning too, but sometimes.

Now it happens frequently.

Exactly this. The system uses a method that already sorted you. If nothing changed on either side than the only thing that could happen is you switch sides because teams, according to the system, are “even”.

Even if somebody drops and another player joins this might happen if the new player has a private ELO rating around the same as the player who dropped. This could even happen with multiple players dropping but an even number with even ELO’s on both sides.

I was on a couple servers last night where vote shuffles passed and a few people were moved around. So, at least on those servers, the system was working. Of course that doesn’t mean it might not be bugged but it is a “works for me” situation and there is a plausible explanation for your scenario.
