Someguy crying wolf over "Hochir instakill"

(trendyArtist) #1

So I’ve been playing stopwatch today and I came across this guy who we will call Wolf (because of how much he cried wolf). If it’s good information, I am level 31 and Wolfy was level 23. I was playing stoker(timik) on Dome while he played bushwhacker(SMG-9). around the end of that game, Wolfy was calling me out for some kind of instakill. I was really confused by what he meant and asked “what instakills?”, and asked if he was sure he has a good connection or was damage by more sources. (His ping was 58 when i checked, but that still hasnt stopped me from having some connection issues on low ping)
The crying wolf mainly persisted over for this game, and two more… maybe even four total… I lost count…
During the second game, I even asked if anyone else thought or felt I had any instakills on them, most people said no and nobody else said yes so I was certain that wolfy was just being toxic or salty.
As you could imagine, he still cried wolf of me ‘cheating’.
Of course, I was the one kicking his ass for all but the last games.
On the last game, I went phoenix(hochir) and he switched to proxy with remburg and kicked my ass hard instead.
Thing is that, he would usually kill me a good couple times but if I killed him, he would call me out, and ‘submit more reports’
Usually if someone defended me or called anything out about him, he’d just say “fuck off” or something alike.
He complained that my submachine gun was doing ‘too much damage’…
So he’s level 23 and he thinks someone who’s good with an smg is cheating?
I even tried to explain that the Hochir has a high right of fire, 55 magazine and does alot of damage with consistent hits.
Yea so for the entirety of the last game, he’d kill me 3 times, I kill him once, he cries and reports.
Thing is that, I didn’t even think of reporting him until the end of the last game where he left.
He never called anyone out ever, not the other players near my level or lower level players…

(EDIT part)—
I forgot to also mention I never really payed enough attention most of the time to see if he was on low health when I killed him and remember such, but I do remember one kill where he was exceptionally low on health, killed by me and he still called me out for instakill.

I became mostly uninterested at the end though because I was realising how pathetic the situation was in reality(Spending my Sunday bickering with a real salty player near the end).
Oh and I just spent like 30 minutes storytelling here so I feel like I’ve made no improvements either

I share this story because I’m wondering what do you guys think of this situation?

You will come across a lot of salty players in your Dirty Bomb career.
If you try to prove them your point it often ends with even more salt or insults, hence I pretty much always ignore them.

Just like when people calling me a hacker I just ignore them. Unless they start insulting all game long,vI might choose to reach max salt. Like GG ez, etc

Thats ok there was a level 6 the other day calling every one on my team a hacker as well as a few of his teamates

Said because i received little damage from his head shots( i was moving around in a window on terminal) and i took him out with little effort(wide open) i was hacking and that he reported me
He refused to beleive that me a level 51 and a level 83 on my team could be so good because level 6 is just as skilled as a high level and that we were being reported

Usually when I get called a hacker, the first thing I do is tell the accuser to file a report and subsequently to please shut up or leave the lobby if you’re not having fun. Since that never works, and nor do I expect it to, I just toy with them in chat for maximum salt extraction. If they’re not willing to switch lobbies to enjoy the game, I can’t care less about their feelings.

Also I should note that I’ve been NGS-kicked several times in the past few days, whereas there was a long period beforehand where it never happened. Maybe my plan backfired.

I tell the “boy who cried wolf” thank you very much, and have some fun. Its even better when a few people on both teams also mess with him by making joke threats.

(tominatorx) #11

That happens a lot when playing with higher lvl players. Usually players from both teams participate in the making jokes as well. I find it hilarious!

When there are mostly lower lvl players then they are usually pretty silent when somebody starts whining.

One of the reasons why I prefer playing with higher lvl players even though I’m far from a high lvl player.

Depending on how bad the name calling is. I would either mute and ignore.

Or if I like how creative they’re in their name calling specifically target that player in order to see how much more creative they can get.
