Some things you should never do in DB

(Tom2160) #1

Okay so I’ve played the game for a couple hundred hours and now I want to tell you some things that you SHOULDN’T do whilst playing.

-Shoot a proxy mine whilst your team is near it (There was a proxy mine on top of a generator so I went to defuse the C4, I acknowledged that the mine was there however I tried to defuse it fast since there was only 10s left but my team mate shot the mine killing 2 members from our team)

-Whilst playing as redeye never throw the smoke in the middle of a battlefield where your team are killing the enemy as it gives both the enemy and your team a disadvantage

-Don’t play medic and run past players who are downed completely ignoring them

-Whilst playing skyhammer and Arty drop ammo!

-Repair whilst another player is already repairing, you should cover them so you don’t both get killed

-Never use vassili if there are already 1-2 vassilis

-Try not to just run into a crossfire, keep your distance and you will get more kills and less deaths

-If your whole team goes one direction follow them, don’t go solo.

-Don’t bother playing an engineer if you don’t do objectives

-You really shouldn’t need more than 3 of one merc in a team

-If you are aura. Once you are in a good defensive area place your healing station down. I see many low levels placing them down in the middle of a battlefield and instantly getting fragged/blown up etc.

-Shotguns aren’t sniper rifles, use your secondary on longer ranges

-Play your mercs correctly. For example as a aura don’t go flanking and rushing the enemy

If you guys can think of any more things to add to the list feel free to tell me and ill add more  #PlayDirty

I actually always do this as Sawbonez, just to rez the person right after and grab some points.

I am a bad person.

More like:
-Never use vassili if you can’t hit anything with any other merc either.

I’ve been doing it wrong this entire time!

You shouldn’t just blindly revive people. You can long spawn teammates with poor revives that get them gibbed before they can run back for cover. Proxy mines on corpses is also a thing.

Running into fire is how stuff gets done. Obviously, you ought to contribute to the fire, but hanging back is exactly why it’s so easy to spawn trap you and your entire team in Terminal.

You should learn how to PTFO a little. It’s not a death match game.

You can never have enough Skybro on Chapel.

Flanking with Auras is perfectly viable. You won’t pull your own weight in frags by just sitting on your station if your team is using it properly. Perhaps pubs have a few too many guns pointed at her, but a 5v5 gives you plenty of room to flank.

There are some super obvious ones here that you should know if you have touched an fps game before, such as
-Try not to just run into a crossfire, keep your distance and you will get more kills and less deaths
Unless it’s Fletcher, cause he’s pretty much as good as an assault merc at killing.

(LifeupOmega) #8

No, do this. It’s hilarious.

I’m pretty sure I know the map better than the level 10s who all bum rush one side, I can do more flanking solo than they can do.

Aura is probably one of the better flanking mercs at pub level, abuse it.

Hipfire at long range

Seriously, it’s fruitless to try and set up a mumble crosshair perfect to be good at long range and close range, just use your sights and spray their head.

It’s a definite adjustment, I pretty much never iron sighted usually.

(Jostabeere) #10

I got more top-kills-games with Aura than with other mercs.
These “advices” sound really cupboard-thinking-ish to me.

(Sefuh_FR) #11

If you spot ennemies through smoke , your team can help you take down spotted ennemies by spreading on them and get a big advantage., especially in close combat area .

(frankopeti) #12

1000 h in game and I shoot the mines every time, I love to kill team mates in pubs:)

(Vypers) #13

True, but sometimes I get paranoid when the team bum rushes one side, leaving the other side open for sneak plants.
So I end up hanging back and calling out on chat / voice if there’s any coming from there which 50% of the time someone listens

(Smile.jpg) #14

I also shoot mines to punish people for not noticing them. I’m tired of dying because of someone stepping mines in front of me.

(SereneFlight) #15

Never t-bag downed Nader.

(JRMC) #16

If you play Phantom don’t make it so obvious and rush head on into the crossfire while trying to slash enemies faces off right in front of them.

(Frogteam) #17

If you play Phantom don’t use your melee, unless your enemy puts themselves into your melee range.

This is a real Signature.

(SirSwag) #18

Never be that awful medic who revives people with 30 hp out of combat.

Better yet don’t use Vassili XD, But seriously your not helping anyone if you sit and the back of the map waiting for that one guy that gets lost, Vassili has a decent amount of health so can be near the front lines anyway, not to mention closer to the fight means his sensor is going to be much more useful to the team

If you play Phantom or Vassili, stop and switch to other mercs
