Ok, this is pretty funny. That same jackarse who gave the game a 0 and cited Angry Joes video as a reason is the same person who wrote this review:

Divinity: Original Sin

"Giving a 10 to counter a 0 that this game got for NO **** REASON. Grow the **** up people. Just because you dislike the game does NOT mean the game sucks. This game has very high production value, great art and good music. To top it all off this game has co-op, dialogue system, mod to support 4 players and difficulty.

If you give this game anything less than a 8.5 score you are obviously not qualified to review a game. Stop being 12 year old kids that cannot contain their feelings. To review a game you have to be objective."

Basically they are saying ‘my opinion is more important than other opinions are’.

Personally, my favorite part is when he declared others are “obviously not qualified to review a game”. I’m pretty sure the only qualification you need on metacritic is the very simple act of creating an account and then logging into said account to write a review. Also, it’s as if he is somehow more qualified, being some random nobody on the internet. :smiley:

TB did a pretty fair job I think. I think he did a rather good and fair assessment of the game. I totally agree with the weapons being pretty “meh” in terms of originality, I definitely want more maps (give us the SDK damnit) and how the monetization system could be better and less confusing and the game has some weird performance issues while still being a good game that plays well.

However, he did mess up a couple of things. He talked about how this week there was not a medic in the free rotation. He obviously forgot that Aura, and also Skyhammer, just come with the game so everyone always has access to them. Also, he kept saying the mercs were 50k/9.99 when quite a few are cheaper. Another thing was he seems to not realize that Fragger’s nade can be quite a bit better due to priming (despite him mentioning it) compared to Nader’s nades in some situations. He also didn’t seem to realize that Fragger, Nader and Rhino are supposed to overlap as they are in the same class of merc.

Those are pretty minor nitpicks though. Especially compared to other videos.

Yeah, he said there were 3 classes of mercs. Medics, Objective Specialists, and ‘Guys that kill better’ or something along those lines. lol

I did send him a message mentioning that Aura and Skyhammer are free to all players. I think he assumed that he got them from the merc starter pack. Who knows if he will read it though.

If you like the game I suggest you find few minutes and create a user review on the Metacritic and Steam.

Jesus censored Christ.
Read a bit here and there. MOBA, CoD, even BF mentioned as inspiration to the game.
Considering that BD is a spiritual successor to ET, that came out be4 all of them, half of those “reviewers” should put their “expertise” in a sock and climb back into a hole they came out.
And most of the problems mentioned are present, fully, even in leaders in modern shooters. And i mean games that will cost you 40-60 bucks to begin with(DLC not included), and are way past their launch date.
For Beta DB does superb(hell, even for a released product it would do great, considering poor quality of many so-called AAA titles). Ive seen plenty of games that actually get only worse after game enters alredy open beta and publisher is trying to suck out every cent and penny they can from players, without providing much quality in return(only promises). Sad, but steady trend among big publishers, with EA and Ubisoft being ahead of every1 by a looong run.
I think that so far SD does excellent job with this game.

I just saw a few people sent him Twitter messages in regards to those. It’s really not a big deal though as far as I am concerned. Pretty much everything else he said was on-point and it’s exactly why I like and trust TB compared to most people who review/showcase a game.
