I’ve seen 2 negative impressions of Brink posted so far. So I thought I would bring a positive one into the mix. I also watched an hour gameplay video last night and the player was obviously having a blast, telling viewers, “you have to get this game!”

I think we should all wait and form our own opinion. How are you guys feeling? Are we in for dissapointment, or is Brink the tactical revolutionary shooter SD claims?
Why would I think negative. The bad previews I have seen are all pretty stupid. Only two problems in leaked footage so far:

I am going to have to agree with you. One other problem would be the wonky knockdown animations, but they do not bother me really at all.
I’m excited no matter what. I’m a 360 player and I just upgraded to verizon Fios to play this game so I’m playing the hell out of it if it sucks or not! 
but it will be awesome i’m sure.
The game is great.
This is one of those games you start and feel completely overwhelmed at first, but then as you’re figuring out how everything works, gets more and more fun the more you play it.
Im just afraid that most gamers these days dont like “figuring things out”. Especially on consoles.

I’m definitely with you on this one. I saw you accepted my request, looks like Tuesday should bring some amazing fun. A few others added me as well from the forum, it looks like we will be able to get a full team together, or close to it. Now I just need to finish my damn philosophy test that is due Tues morning and I am home free.
If console players cant handle the pressure, then so be it. I’m sure most if not all PC users will be more than happy with it.
You worry and depend on others opinion way way too much. Go read some ****ing Ayn Rand, ease your mind.
Brink will share ETQW fate more or less, that is of an awesome game that is not for everybody due to complexity and learning curve, but oh so much more rewarding after you ace said curve.
Do you really want to play with people who can`t adapt their playing stereotypes anyway?

You must not be able to read clearly. I stated that I was trying to bring some positivity to this forum seeing as there are some people who are affected by these trashy “reviews” I proceeded to state that we should all wait and form our own opinions. Learn to read then come back on your high horse.

You obviously misunderstood the point of this yet again. I could care less about any of these garbage “reviews”. I simply stated that obviously naive people on the forums could be affected by the negativity. And I guess I need to say this twice, but I then stated, “we should all wait and form our own opinions”.

I’m sorry but you might be slightly over stating the complexity of this game…not sure how many games out there are going to be stumped by holding down X to complete an objective…

Umm… this thread title sounds like there would be like 200 negative reviews and only 5 positive. And because it isn’t so it sounds very strange^^
Those 2 negative reviews are just… bad. I just ignore them. And there are a few good written reviews which say that the game is awesome. Can’t wait till thursday

Im pretty sure you know that to win a match in brink you have to do a lot more than just holding the “X” button.

My thread title probably wasn’t the best choice but I can’t change it. But again, I’m with you, I have ignored these terrible “reviews” but I know not everyone will. I really cannot contain how amazingly stoked I am to pickup my copy Tuesday.

I was just trying to say in a light hearted way that I don’t think console gamers are just staring at awe at the game play videos/playing thinking this game is too hard for me to understand (although it looks like a lot of PC gamers in this forum would love to think so).
If they are then it will be Splash Damage’s failing for not implementing the game in the right way I am afraid as this game is marketed towards these guys everyone is hating.
I believe the more likely scenario is that they just look/play the game game are thinking what was all the hype about (or some other reason)?
If this is the case then it makes me very sad as I for one would love the industry to move more in Splash Damage’s vision for FPS’s in the future, but if this fails (I am not saying it will by any means) then can see I more of what everyone is moaning about for the foreseeable future and we can all agree that would not be fun. 
I think my OP said it in a more jolly way though.
lol of course fanboys will hate on any review that is negative (or even simply not oozing with praise) while applauding any review written by a four year old as long as it’s positive.
