These can be done with new maps
And for free for all, new maps can be created with more interactive objects to kill other players

MODDING MODE
Create any mode you want: Zombie mode, melee brawl, TDM, Battlefront mode, Hidden Mod, Saxton Hale mod, Control point mode, Instagib, etc.

STORYLINE MODE for each merc(about 2-3 hours / merc) would be great. A dlc for the mercs you want to play. So we can know better and love our mercs even more
Big head mode like in nba jam. Or sand box mode like in garys mod so we can get some db cartoons and some dune buggies for some db racing sims complete with sticky bombs and moltovs
I think it’s just fine with ranked-casual-server browser, otherwise the playerbase will split too much.

I thought about that aspect too lately, not in form of a game mode, but just a way to make the game a bit more attractive to new players, or rather the entire playerbase really. If SD could just find a way to introduce each Mercenary a bit better to every player as well was let players know more about each of their background, it could really improve the way you look at them or each of them. In other words, if SD gave players the opportunity to get to know each Merc a bit better, I think especially personality-wise, you would start to enjoy playing each Mercenary a bit more and it would give this little tick to the game which would be a realy nice improvement.
I can’t talk about anything specific, but well maybe just give each and every Merc a bunch more background and PERSONALITY. I know each Merc already has a certain personality, which is to be noticed through Special Taunts or Quickchat in general, but I mean just put a bit more POW in every Merc.
Well, bringing back Execution would give the game a nice necessary improvement to begin with. Not only that, but I’ve already thought of a free-for-all deathmatch mode too, but without any teams - just each and everyone plays their Merc and tries to kill as many players as possible. Player with most points/XP wins - end.
I think most of us want new gamemodes, but as far as I know, SD doesn’t plan on introducing any new modes for a while. It would be great to see Execution reintroduced, or maybe the same maps with some sort of one-life only mode. Execution was a ton of fun and also the only mode you got to show off your sexy skins!
I’d like to see some classic modes like CTF, Team Deathmatch/FFA, etc. There’s really tons of possibilities out there. I worry mostly about the map design though as I hate the current map designs and the direction it’s headed in. They’re just very boring. Dome was fun until the 1st and 3rd objectives were essentially changed into two lanes and some fun jumps and stuff were removed.
We’ve made a new type of stopwatch that is 5v5. In this game mode:
This game mode is not for the un-initiated and this was designed more for the experienced player who are advanced in their gameplay and is looking for the next level objective match gameplay. The reason for such game design is to get the experienced players out of playing the meta loadout of any merc and use more skill in fulfilling the role of the merc.
I’m thinking of other ways a player can be challenged (by randomizing 1 of 5 possible roles at the start of the match) and see how things will pan out.
rotation mode, every 2 minutes the teams get jumbled up, random rotation.
blitz mode, quick dirty 90 seconds to plant bomb best of 9 wins swap sides after every 2 plants/defuses. no respawn just revives.
