Some info on Stats

Stats are only tracked when you play freeplay against at least one other human player.

So stats are only available on freeplay versus from my personal experience with the stat site.

When you play those types of matches the update to your stats is almost instant. You can check your kills, xp and so on.

On Xbox for the stat site it says something like 1000k matches played. This does not mean people have only played levels 1,000,000 times. It simply means they have only played versus from the freeplay menu that many times.

The stats site is not a good indicator of how active the brink community is on console. Because it does not track a majority of gameplay. Which is simply people grinding alone in campaign or playing campaign co op. Which is what most people do before they figure out the freeplay options.

People should keep this in mind before using statistics from brink’s stat site to troll on these boards.

Amongst other things, I wish Brink did a better job of corralling players into actual player vs player gameplay instead of spending their time against bots.

The developers probably view their current build as the most friendly to PVP virgins. Start off solo. Then co op. Then versus with half bots. Then if they are hungry for more then they can start finding freeplay matches.

Also anyone who can’t figure out the menu system has to be a bit of a simpleton and shouldn’t be playing a game that guns and loud noises in it anyway.

It doesn’t have anything to do with figuring out the menu system. Don’t know how it looks for consoles, but on PC everything is, by default, lumped together in the server browser. The filters are there and easy to use. Maybe they are simpletons as you describe, but at least half the playerbase (the small, dwindling playerbase) has simply decided they are content playing against AI. Most everyone else has already jumped ship.

It’s a sad state of affairs.
