[SOLVED]searching marioworld map

I trying to find that map… lol, Im not sure if it exisits or not allready for et, any case, I would be willing to learn radiant, just to port it…

here is a talk about it, but there it its only for q3 and the links from Maggumaster are all dead

well I tried to pm EB, on map-craft.com, but didnt get yet a reply.

I would really love to have that map, I am running a custom map server with bots, and well … I just love such maps.
So I beg for help to find that map, thanks 1000x times!

I just want to comment that those mario maps only worked for single player…

Maggumaster made a Q3 map based on a level from SuperNintendo’s SuperMario2.
He has freely given the power to port the map so I may bring it to ET.
I am thinking of making it a 10 minute map and whoever captures more OBJ.'s will be the winning team.

so this should mp, but your right there exists a single player mario map, allthough even that can be played with other players, also …
I played that map once with falckonET, you can even spawn a panzer in that 2d world, very funny…

I had the source of the Q3 map on my old PC with all the custom assets too, I will see if they still on it some time this week.

Never seen the Zelda castle map although I myself usually leave Zelda references in my own maps :smiley:

YES, I totally forgot to mention that! Check out chr1s’ wolken-maps too, if you are a zelda fan, ´cos there are some references there that will make you go “aahh, I know what that is!” (E.g. tri-force signs.)

I think I have that q3 map too, in my old (and put-away) computer. if you cannot find it chr1s, I’ll re-start that old machine and see if I can find it.

Sorry that I haven’t replied to the PM @ map-craft…I have been trying to find it for you and I did not want to give a premature reply regarding a “not found”.

And well…I was looking through some old disks and I found the .map source but sadly there are no textures/models/sounds etc etc.

ok, this is allready very nice,
at least I fixed some maps, maybe I am able to finish it…

5 models are missing, maybe I can find a replacement, or make one…

well, I started it, most problematic for me is now to find textures, luckily you made a screenshot, that helps to use correct ones…

I guess if I am succesfull, I will also make a skin for the players… just for that map…
I will have lots of question - probably, another newb mapper :smiley:

I think I’ll release the sourcefile for springfield, too. But first of all I have to get into this mapping thing back again. This is no ordinary map, it’s a bit more complex than others, because of ydnars speacial colorshaders and stuff.

so well, map is working, some minor bugs will be fixed soon…

now what I wonder is, has anybody a good Idea as objective?

I though about allies have to rescue the princess… well…
and I also guess I have to increase the map size… idk how exactly, maybe using one of the starroads, to get to another place … idk yet.

edit: I got a gma945 from intel… so fps is no indicator for anything compared to normal graphiccards

I have alot of great ideas for this map.

The secret level (the one with 2 fire flowers and 2 feathers and Yoshi), should be health and ammo for sure. Yoshi’s hut should be the original allied spawn, and the axis should start in the cave, be pushed back to the forest, and finally to bowsers castle. The star road should only be acessable after the allies destroy the warp points outside of star road.

The map objective should most likely be a document run, Don really know what. I also think you should use the switcfh spot around the world to turn on and off hidden block, such as bridges that allies can cross as shortcuts.

ok I thought lot of time about this map… here the result:

I will make a capture the princess map - allies have to defend, and axis capture here…

The princess will be on one of the starroads, while axis have to construct some stuff, get on the first starroad, then get something there, to build the path to the second starroad, where they can get the princess …dunno yet where to with her… lol

Ehm from the screenie, the map may appear big, but actually the isles are very small…

So when I have finished this, I will probably work on a different map… a test map for omnibot - well… and someday I hope to extend this map, with all its subworlds… so that u get teleported into other rooms… just like super marioworld…

@EB could you please make me a model of the princess? Idk if its possible that she moves… lol… would be funny if she’s running around on starroad (maybe moving like a tank… loool).
well and if you got spare time… a coin, a mushroom (like the ones mario gets and grows), the panzer of the turtles, well and what would be very nice, on n64 I saw a thing flying on a cloud - which throws goodies down.

well Im going to learn, using other models for entities … instead of medpack a mushroom… hehe

You need to mushrooms for health and them flowers for ammo.
Making the princess run around with proper animation would be extremely challenging just make a stationary one.
