Sodding Prefabs in ET!!!!!

I just spent the best part of an hour and a half converting my .pfb files into .map files with 1.3 radiant because the new E.T. version doesnt support them :angry: !!!

Why did they change this feature in ET? Im sure there must be a logical reason but at the moment it escapes me.

I dont know if other people have run into this problem and if they have and havent realised it… they can convert their old prefab files by simply loading them up individually in Radiant 1.3 and saving them as map files - which incidentally the ET version looks for when you open Edit -> ā€œLoad Prefabā€ command.

Yes its a pain in the arse, but if you got some nice prefab designs and dont wanna redo them in SDK ET this is the only way around it.

Who is reponsible for this injustice?? HEADS SHALL ROLL!!! :smiley:

i think you couldv’e just renamed (blah).pfb to (blah).map

ya when i first got a pfb prefab i just renamed it and poof it worked :blah:

This sort of thing always happens to me… Im the one who tries knocking the door down… rather than trying the handle lol
