Does it mean SD will reincarnate all other possible mechanics, weapons, etc. from that game as well?

I worry the flamethrower will be one of them, IIRC that weapon was considered useless in Wolf ET.

But I sure do love the dual wield pistols.

The dream of that dual-wielding, outlaw gunslinger continues I see. :wink: Honestly I think a character model like that would be awesome too, but I’m indifferent on the dual-wielding. Never really been a fan of it in any game.

Two of the same weapons can be bland and redundant, but a pair of different ones can spice things up, like complementing each other, like fire and alt fire modes in UT series, not just higher DPS and RoF. Looking at you, gunslinger from Lawbreakers.

Yeah, why not? Flamethrower was useless in competetive. But when you get in small map with 30 players, it can lit things pretty nicely. For example, those caves in Supply Depot was great place to do route denial with flamethrower. In dirty bomb you can do area denial with nader, snipers and molotovs. There is no short range denial, except Rhino. I think miniguns are more commonly used in helicopters or planes, where long distance is more common. If we look at competetive scene of Dirty Bomb, have we seen Rhinos at all? I think flamethrower mechanics should be minigun like, but with limited distance and smoke. It could affect infrared vision and it could scramble electronics like javs missile. It could be used to clear mines, because flames can spread little bit around corners. But then its heavy and slow. For the prize of dealing great damage to multiple targets at close distance, the pressure tank could explode with explosion and those tanks run out fast. Flamethrower could be the reason to buff molotov and minigun. I cant watch this nerfing after every update.

I was playing in a clan where our strategy on supply was to defend last stage with a flamethrower in the room after the staircase. It was crazy strong against bad teams and a lot of fun against better teams as it was so awkward, they were not prepared for it xD

Ehh…why not a new shotgun with some dragons breath shells, I’m sure people would stop complaining about Javelin quick like and be all over that lol

Even if you kill them the fire dot could kill you…yeah there would be a lot of crying.

I’m bored and always looking for new merc ability ideas for Merc Suggestions, so I’ll leave this here. Rather than a whole new shotgun, dragon’s breath rounds should ideally be an ability as opposed to a weapon’s feature. Balance is… iffy, like you said.

Dragon’s Breath Shells
CD- 15 sec/charge, 2 charges
Load an incendiary shell into your shotgun. The next shot fired will only fire 5 pellets and have shorter effective range, but it will ignite any enemies hit by the pellets. Enemies on fire take 8 damage/sec for 5 seconds and receive 50% less healing for the same duration. Fires can be put out by jumping up and down X times.

In addition, an extremely short-ranged plume of flame also fires at the same time with a wide horizontally aligned spread, allowing you to ignite close enemies that aren’t directly in your crosshairs.

Must have a shotgun equipped with at least 1 round fired prior to loading. Cooldown only starts after a loaded incendiary shell is fired. After firing an incendiary shell, the shotgun cannot be fired again for two seconds.

Flamethrower would actually be more useful in DB given the tighter, smaller maps. It would also take some heat off rhino and jav.
