So, when do you start, and stop playing for the day?

(watsyurdeal) #1

Pretty simple question, what makes you want to start playing your first match of the day, and what reason do you stop playing for the day?

(Jostabeere) #2

When I played more active, or rather, at all, I started whenever I liked it.
I stopped after a game with 3 Proxies per team. Were short play sessions I must admitt.

Just for the playing, usually with some folks, I leave then they leave, pubbing alone is boring

(Melinder) #4

Play when friends jump on, get off when 80% of the players are Tracer from Overwatch with their 300+ ping

I sometimes play at lunch time (central US) if I go home for lunch and have time. I sometimes play randomly at night. Mostly I play on weekends. I have friends who all like different games and I tend to swap around and play in bursts a lot.

(frostyvampire) #6

I usually just play for the missions.
I don’t have any friends that play Dirty Bomb actively and I don’t wanna wait 10 minutes to find a ranked match just to get matched with noobs and find out I’m on Chapel and I’m the only one with a fire support merc on my team

(TheStrangerous) #7

Missions, missions, and again missions.

I like having tasks like that in DB, and getting rewards. Currently I’m grinding hard and playing through 2-3 mission cycles on weekdays and 4-5 on weekends, depending on situation.

Once I’m done with getting all gen 2 cards, I’m taking a break til’ next merc comes, and grind up to 150 000 credits.

I consume these delicious headshots in rather short bursts because my hand gets tired fairly quickly.
I tend to complete my missions but they don’t decide when I start or end playing.

(watsyurdeal) #9

Glad to know I’m not the only who plays for missions, granted, I play this game pretty much exclusively these days. I don’t play anything else cause I don’t have the time.

(Kudrow) #10

I also play mostly because of missions because you get most credits for completing them. Since I am on student holidays and I don’t play any other games then I do around 4 mission cycles per day.
I would like to play with friends but since I don’t have full steam account I can’t add friends and therefor I always play alone (mostly OBJ or SW - EX only because of mission). I don’t really like that system that you need to have full steam account in order to play with friends. Other MMO games usually have that friendship/clan system built in the game so that you don’t have to go out of game to add friend or join a clan but that wasn’t question of this topic just my commentar.

(Dysfnal) #11

I play to improve my aim, and to progress through the ranks, I stop when I’m out of missions and daily rewards

(kopyright) #12

If time allows it I start around 8PM (CET) when the new missions are given out and some of my clan mates are online. Failing that I try to at least do the missions around 11PM and stay online until they are all done (or I get frustrated by unbalanced non-shuffling team stomps).

(blonk) #13

I start playing because much like an itch I suddenly just want to go shootan. Stopping depends on lots of things really, sometimes I get bored, sometimes a string of bad or unfun games just makes me want to go do something else or I start feeling massively unproductive, but if the server is right and the people are cool it keeps me much longer.

(Sithas) #14

I play as long as i have missions the moment i completed them i usually stop playing,
I like having a goal to work forward too, i hope that in the future they also add weekly missions that gives you tougher missions but with a little better reward too. so that you have something too work forward too the whole week.

(geronimoooo) #15

A year ago, when I started, I played with friends I met in different game, whenever they wanted, I joined them. They stopped playing, so did I.

But recently, I started playing again, because I found out decent group of people streaming, so whenever they are up, I join them. Its way more fun to play with someone I am familiar with and consider friend than alone.

If I try to play alone, I usually turn it off in few minutes.

(The_N00Ba) #16

I usually start playing when i have an itch to do so. I play until either I get bored, tired, or just satisfied I had enough. It can range from a couple of games to 11-12 hours depending.

(Nibbles02) #17

Normally I played whenever I had several hours of free time unless I had a show to watch or my friends wanted to do something, but with the last patch my FPS went from 70-120 to 25-45 with drops to 7 mid-firefight, which is unplayable.

(BlackboltLW) #18

Usually until I’m tired enough, but I had this “Three-Stomp-Stop” policy.

If in my playthrough my team get stomped three times, then I stop playing for that day

Kinda works for my schedule, lmao

Actually I have a lot, a lot of spare time (university period is over so I will not teach before october).
Generally I wake up at 6am, and start playing to get my brain on “ON” position.
Playing early gets my focus waking. --> all that is in the condition I find servers in EU or good ping ones in US.
Then I play during the day for missions to get richer than my tailor to buy the remaining Mercs and loadouts that I didn’t buy with money.
Between missions I do other things like some personal works or cooking or some weight lifting.
Sometimes I can keep playing till 4am the next day because I have a special pro focus brain specialized in wasting time on FPS. Yeah it’s too much XD but then I sleep few hours and wake up for an another day.
Usually I stop playing because I have no grey matter juice left or if servers get empty.

i play every night just after midnight (i got home after midnight) stop in the morning
then i play again on lunch break in the office then play again after midnight.

having 3 jobs in a week is hard…
