So what will we keep after Launch?

I noticed that we can already bu starter packs (for real lame as starter packs i mean i have no problem with investign money in stuff i like but time saver packs? Not even cool costumes effects etc no just the normal stuff you get for 20 meh) and we got the beta case etc. Does that mean we will keep the stuff we unlock now?

Also the Merc prices both real money and ingame cash are waaayyyyy too high.
I just played stopwatch casual ended up in the top 3 and got 100… 100 for a good game and i need 30.000c for proxy that would mean i have to play 300 good matches to get one merc (without the extra stuff you get from missions which isn’t exactly much compared).

But yeah overall question what do we keep?

no further wipes are planned, so if nothing terrible happens, you will keep your stuff now

while I agree that the prices are rather high, you also gotta take into account the daily missions (1800 Credits if you do all 3 every day), as well as level up rewards (12.000 or smth like that i think), so it’s not AS bad as it may look

i got one level up reward i thought it was a starting boost. also u get those rewards only once.

And i want to earn money by playing a good game and helping my team to win not by simply grindign levels and stuff that’s just wrong.

nah, you don’t get them only once
you don’t get them EVERY level, but I’ve gotten the 12k two times so far

100 credits a game : this definitely feels too low. I don’t want to make a month grind to get the character I want. I am playing a first person shooter, not a MMORPG. What happended to the system that rewarded you with more money for skillful and/or objective play ?

Let’s not forget that the levels are made to be harder and harder to get. And may be hardcapped at a number. Also, missions does not always give you objectives that you will want to accomplish (not saying that the mission system should change though), so you won’t always want to accomplish all of them.

I can understand that some money have to be grabbed in order to make sure that the game will stay up and healthy (and so devs can pay their bills), but doing it by imposing a huge farm to unlock a merc feels wrong. There’s other way to earn a very correct income that will be “annoying enough” to make the consumer wanting to buy without imposing horrendous farm times. This highly encline players to create “farm rooms” or find a way to idle in game or something just to get some money without playing. We clearly don’t want to see DB ending like TF2 when the random trade system was created : idlers everwhere !

You get those bonuses at the start pretty quick and then they sort of dry up as you keep playing. So you feel rich to start out with and then you have to grind. But, by then, hopefully you enjoy the game and don’t mind playing matches.

I would like to have customisation abilities rather than timesaver stuff. I honestly would pay for costumes etc like in LoL or dota ( picked the 2 because they have rather similar character selection etc.) You could add a third kind of card a cosmtics card which can be bought via cash. SO you can put your mercs in your deck change their loadout and their looks. You could add a bunc hof those in and make money. Hell you could profit from the steam services and put in a workshop so you don’t even have to design that stuff.
Just saying i’m not buying a timesaver pack and endless grinding is one of the reason i prefer dota over LoL (and i spend mroe money on Dota than on LoL) for example.
If you have progress trough levels and stuff in a game you have to make it at elast interesting not a grindfest.

I am someone who prefers a compeltly unlocked weapon stash for everyone (like in the old days :wink: ) rather than xp and level progress to get stuff.
I like the card collector part of this game because i like to collect stuff. But if i have to grind for days to unlock the one char i want to play then meh.

-decrease Costs of mercs or increase mission income

  • put the focus on obtaining loadout and cosmetic cards by playign the game and getting drops or buying chance packs

That way people can get the mercs they want and spend money and time on cosmetics and loadouts.

Also what happened to the older mercs? I noticed they aren’t on the main page meet the merc section.
