So...what other games play and feel similar to Dirty Bomb?

So yea…I hate CoD, Battlefield, CS GO, all those tactical shooters. Why? Cause fights aren’t so much about skill as it is where you are and being at the right spot. Games like Dirty Bomb feel like they reward you more for raw ability and skill, which makes the game more fun imo.

But besides TF2 and Dirty Bomb, haven’t really found much, any recommendations?

I play Blacklight Retribution but Dirty Bomb is way more teamwork based and faster imo. But if you like to be able to solo carry a team with half decent aim and still play a game with decent graphics (if you care about visuals), it might be your thing.

What makes it different is that everyone has a hyper-reality visor (HRV) that lets them see enemies through walls. It mainly shifts the dynamic from “where are my enemies?” to “how can I survive an engagement with my enemies when we can both see each other?”

You can also customize your own gun down to the individual parts - muzzle, stock, barrel, magazine, scope, weapon tag, camo. You’ll be able to see the numbered stats for every part you use and see how they affect your gun spread, range, damage, etc. You can do the same with your equipment and gear - helmet, chest, legs, camo, trinkets. Most shooters don’t have this level of customization.

Give it a shot, it’s a pretty fun little game.

I also like fast-paced shooters, following once fascinated me for some time, one of them for years, the others at least for months (:

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory: Fast, Quake3Style Jumping & movement, developed by SD, Stopwatch as Gamemode
UrbanTerror: Fast, Quake3Style Jumping & movement, Gamemodes like CounterStrike
Warsow: Fucking Fast :), advanced Quake3Style Jumping & movement, Gamemodes: Arena Mode and also something like Bomb&Defuse.
Quake Wars: Fast, developed by SD, Stopwatch as Gamemode, Big Mapes with drivable vehicles like in Battlefield

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is still my all favorite, badly it’s not playable anymore. Still waiting for something like “Wolfenstein: Live” or “Wolfenstein: Global Offensive”

Looking at these games you enjoy you should try Reflex, it’s being developed by some guys from Australia, it looks really promising and I hope it takes off, pretty cheap aswell!

EDIT: Had to fix the link :3

Battlefield Heroes(it’s like TF2 in 3rd person, i love it) and Planetside 2. I also used to play Quake Live which shares the most similarities with this game, except for the teamwork which is non-existent, since there are no support skills.

Ever tried Alliance of Valiant Arms? F2P shooter, also loosely team based with 3 different classes.

Quake 3.

TF2 is also great, fast pacet, team reliant and far from cs go. Also, f2p in the best way, great community and lots of customization .

Looks on games similar to Dirty Bomb
Don’t looks into Enemy Territory games(based on comments).

Try enemy territory with the 2.60b patch. Still tons of servers and players. Its loads of fun.

If you want a game that is almost exactly the same as Dirty Bomb but with more missions, more parkour, and less class-based differences other than objective specialization (but also paid and less popular, so you may need to play with bots), give Brink a try. Personally, I enjoy Dirty Bomb better, but both are very similar and very fun.

It’s been pretty buck Dirty Bomb for me now, but I’ve had a few games that felt similar, but lacked a bit or made me quickly lose interest.

I actually enjoyed Brink quite a bit, I dont know what it was but something just felt off, un responsive or something along those lines, hand grenades and explosions were less “boomy” than they were in the alpha footage and gameplay, and it wasn’t just me, I really loved the customization and many aspects of the game but something just felt wrong, for a game that was about fluid movement there were even places that as light character you couldn’t pull off.

I enjoyed playing Blacklight but the weapon part renting really became grindy, and a lot of the more team-oriented backpacks were ignored in favor of stealth and the healing gun, just to heal one self or poison an enemies, reviving, healing, repairing and even doing the games objectives had about less benefits than killing or going on a killing spree, I also really disliked the almost unremovable lens-flare and light shafts, dont get me started with the soundtrack.

Tf2 was a game I loved, have over a thousand hours on it and really liked it due to liking the original team fortress and Fortress Forever, which felt old after a while, I really enjoyed TF2 but after a while a lot of weapons and cosmetics just went too much with being wacky, silly or over the top, I’ve brought up countless times why there wasn’t the old mirv/tnt bundle for demoman but the only response was because grenades were removed to not have a spam fest, but then they added jarate and madmilk which just begs the question why the demoman hasn’t gotten that bundle but about 10 swords, along with the grenade launchers nerf was just off putting, which could’ve been solved by making it do less damage, but they went with something worse and haven’t even updated the model.
